This experience was among the worst hotel stays I have encountered. The receptionist- LESLIE was cold, seemed irritated by basic inquiries and provided no assistance or courtesy despite my having four suitcases. To exacerbate the situation, I had to haul two trolleys over an unreasonable distance because Leslie placed me in a room farthest from the lifts. Very unreasonable!! The room was dusty, the mattress was not comfortable, and I woke up feeling sore before my 6 AM flight. Management needs to address these issues as I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone I know.

The reception apparently didn’t have any information from airlines and asked us to wait, even though Jetsar confirmed accommodation at Novotel upon flight cancellation. We were 3 adults (my parents and I) and while the airlines staff assured us 2 separate bedrooms for privacy, the hotel staff didn’t seem to care and were very unapologetic about the entire thing. They kept us waiting at the lobby, kept on repeating (“we don’t have any info yet about the flight cancellation.. we don’t know how much time it’s gonna take for us to confirm”) and I had to speak up for myself for getting served and the room keys for my elderly parents. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Also, they didn’t seem to care the last about all the out-of-pocket expenditures. Terrible attitude.

The Novotel Melbourne Airport Hotel experience was just great - excellent rooms, comfortable bed, whisper quiet (notwithstanding it is right next to a busy airport) and black-out curtains that really work...
