Our flight from Melbourne to Auckland was cancelled, and our airline provided rooms and food at the Melbourne airport Novotel. Despite being tired and frustrated (me) the hotel staff were patient, kind, and understanding. The hotel was so great, we ended up being happy to stay an extra day. We ate dinner at Boccata, and the food was fantastic, best meal we had during our trip to Melbourne. Breakfast in the Small Holdings cafe was excellent, great coffee and beautiful pastries.

The stay was pretty well ruined by a 3am fire alarm and evacuation - which turned out to be a false alarm. Pretty frustrating when you are just at that hotel to sleep between two back to back days of long flights. I’m now sick due to lack of sleep.

Had a very comfortable stay. Everything was great from location, staff and the room ammenities. Had everything required for a good nights rest and is very conveiniently located to the airport when travelling. Had a very good nights rest, staff were amazing and the room service was spot on.
