disappointed im the room. Appreciate it was a 'studio apartment' but ridiculously small. Bathroom too small for comfort. A pillar in the middle of the room Has to ring for fresh towels on second day

When I first checked in and asked for a bigger room, the receptionist said it was not available. Then, I had an incident in the bathroom with a metal ledge sticking out of nowhere and had to call first-aid for what was a gushing wound on my big toe, suddenly i was offered a room to switch to. If it was not for David, the manager who assisted me throughout the whole period, my stay would've been rated a mere 3 stars. He was the one who offered me the change in room so that another accident will not happen. The rooms while "refurbished", still looked pretty dated in my opinion, and they really need to look into the safety of the guests' stay after my incident. Thank you to David, because if not for him, I was ready to walk out with a big complaint coming given i could barely walk for the next 2 - 3 days after, a huge bummer for my holiday plans. Still, I will not consider returning regardless.

Our stay at the hotel was restful. The location was great, you could get to places with ease and not have to travel to far to get there. The main restaurant food was average with a limited menu. The breakfast buffet was good. The staff were busy and seemed to be understaffed at the peak breakfast periods. They did a great job in dealing with demanding customers.

I was placed in an end room. Pretty small room with very small bathroom. Clearly the hotel was busy but the noise from the road thru the windows was excessive up until 12.30am, and starting again from 5am onwards. If Novotel want to charge out for such a small room at least put in place superior noise insulation on those corner end rooms. Not up to standard and I'd be surprised if I was the first to complain.
