Front Desk Officer

The hotel amenities and room itself were clean and comfortable. However, my stay at this hotel turned into a terrible experience due to one front desk officer named Rahman. He was incredibly rude, disrespectful, and lacked basic manners. I believe a front desk officer should embody kindness and hospitality, qualities he clearly did not possess. My food delivery was delayed, and when I went to pick it up, neither the delivery driver nor the front desk informed me it was ready in the lobby. Instead of offering assistance or understanding, Rahman scolded me for not picking up my food on time, even though I hadn't been informed of its availability. When I tried to explain this, he rudely interrupted me with, 'Are you going to take your food or what?' His behavior was completely unacceptable and made my interaction with him extremely unpleasant.

I know about this occurrence, and even though Rahman and other team members attempted to call you into your room to let you know about the delivery, they were unable to. We are also aware that the Uber delivery driver also tried to contact you via the app with no success. Accept my sincere apologies if Rahman came off as impolite; he had no intention of doing so. My partner and i stayed for 2 nights in one of the “deluxe” rooms. Let me tell you, there was nothing deluxe about it. When we checked in, there was no hand soap in the bathroom, rust all around the shower and the duvet had weird stains on them, they looked like blood/other bodily fluids. It was disgusting, to the point where we couldn’t sleep with the duvet or top sheets at all. Unfortunately, by the time we noticed it was too late to do anything as house keeping had left for the day. We decided to go down stairs and check out the restaurant for dinner, i have never felt more rushed in my life while eating. We were still in the middle of eating and the staff came up to us insisting to take away our plates and cutlery, i advised we were still eating and they said ok they’ll come back later. it wasn’t even a minute after we had put down our cutlery that they came back and took everything away. my partner and i both felt extremely rushed to get out of the restaurant despite it being completely empty!! The food was good tho. My partner and i have stayed at novotel preston many times and have not had an issue, this instance was very unfortunate and i’m not sure that we’ll be coming back.
