Regarding the exposed concrete ceiling, this is indeed an intentional element of the hotel's contemporary architectural design. The You hotel Amiens is new (Feb 26), and the staff are very friendly and efficient. We found the bed large and comfortable, the shower good and the quick breakfast is brilliant. However, this is certainly a “no frills” hotel Be prepared for the fact that there is no drinking water in the room, no kettle or facility to brew a hot drink, no safe, no parking (Gare de Vallee car park nearby is a nightmare for anything larger than a mini), and no fridge. And the worst feature to me was the unfinished bare concrete ceiling in the room. No doubt part of the 'brutalistic' architecture of the hotel, but lying on the bed and looking up, you could be holed up in somebody's cellar. Not for me!

This was probably the best stay at a hotel I had this year. The staff was always kind and helpful, the rooms were impecable, the breakfast and snacks were great, and the location was perfect.

Did not meet expectations, too pricey in comparison to other (Ibis) hotels. It does not offer any substantial added value. If you want something little different but qualitative, an Ibis Styles is a way better alternative.

We had a nice stay, the family room and staff were great. Just a few points of improvement: coffee/teamaker in the room would be welcome and the availability of some food at the breakfast was poor. We had to wait a long time to have eggs and bacon.

We booked in haste when we realised there was a heatwave and we needed to stay somewhere with air conditioning. This hotel did not disappoint. We were so glad to find it. Our room was comfortable and cool and the breakfasts were good. The view of the cathedral and of Perrett tower were a real bonus. The only down side was that there were no tea making facilities in the room. Any other accommodation we have stayed in that have lacked a kettle in the room have had 24 hour tea making facilities in reception.

The hotel is very cool, with a strong design focus. All the staff we dealt with were excellent, and the breakfast was good. It’s located in what seems to be an up and coming area. The only (big) issue with the hotel during our stay was the heat. Yes there was a heatwave, but a hotel should be able to deal with 32c. The lobby was swelteringly hot, and our suite was also baking hot. The air conditioning in the building is clearly not up to the job - I’m not sure how this hotel will cope in the summer. That said it’s a lovely hotel with great people - just need to sort out the AC. As it was an uncomfortable nights stay.

As an Accor member, this was my first opportunity to stay at a Handwritten Collection hotel. I was curious to discover this newer brand within the Accor portfolio, and I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel offered a unique character, comfortable accommodations, and attentive service. The staff were welcoming and professional, and the overall atmosphere felt more personal than a standard hotel experience. A gorgeous new hotel, very stylish and staff very welcoming. Breakfast was also delicious! Only complaint was the AC in our suite was not able to cope with the extreme heat which made sleeping difficult.
