A good hotel in a great location, ideal for the cathedral, town centre, old town (such as it is), Christmas Market and parks. The young lady who checked us in on the afternoon of Sunday 14th December was particularly good, very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony view of the beautiful cathedral, thank you very much. The room was a good size, excellent shower and very comfortable bed. There was a fridge, coffee machine and kettle in the room, tea and coffee but no milk. Unfortunately the air conditioning didn't appear to be working, regardless of the temperature setting it just pumped out hot air, this meant we had to sleep with the window open onto a noisy street but that's the price you pay for the view. There was a nice selection of hot and cold food at breakfast including fruit, cereals, pastries and sausages. Parking is in an underground car park a 2 minute walk away at €13 per day, we left our car here without issue. Amiens is a pleasant town, though the Christmas Market was disappointing, certainly not worth going out of your way to visit. If you're thinking of heading in this direction for a night or two at any time of the year I'd recommend Rouen (and the excellent Mercure hotel there) over Amiens. That said if you're staying in Amiens I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a friendly, smart and wonderfully located hotel. We had a fabulous stay, everything about the hotel, particularly the staff, was excellent.

The hotel was really not as advertised when booking. The parking arrangements were not very satisfactory and the room really wasn’t up to the standard I would expect. The bathroom was absolutely tiny, ridiculous and impractical. A shame.

Not recommended! There are various problems with this hotel. Firstly, on booking it is not at all clear that the hotel doesn’t have parking. In fact the nearest municipal car park is much further away than stated and as the streets & pathways are cobbled you really cannot use a wheeled suitcase, you have to carry your luggage. We stayed in a ‘privilege’ room. Although the room itself was just acceptable the bathroom was ridiculously small and inconvenient. The floor area was tiny & cramped, the over-bath shower was a struggle to access even for a very fit person as the bath sides are high and the access very small. Really disappointing. On the positive side the staff were very nice.

We had a lovely time in Amiens. Hotel Mercure Amiens Cathedrale is centrally located and our room had a fantastic view towards the magnificent Cathedrale. The room was clean and comfortable. Reception staff were just lovely and very helpful. We had drinks and a dinner at the hotel bar and restaurant. Again, the staff were very friendly and super efficient.
