Room was comfortable and hotel well situated. Staff friendly. There was a small kids area - it was being worked on when we were there but looked sweet for young kids. Stay was only 2 nights, but we would recommend to people visiting city. One night there was loud music from a local cafe until early hours. We didn’t mind but might impact some people.

I coild hardly sleep due to noise frim the cars and people outside. Westher was good and social lofe in full swing. Window open or closed made no difference.

We arrived in heavy rain so decided to eat in rather than go out in the evening, as did many of the other guests. Unlike many Mercure and McGallery hotels you have a resturant although it had a limited menu we were happy to eat in the hotel and the food was fine. Full marks for to managers for recognizing that sometimes it is a good thing to eat in the hotel. In addition the breakfast was excellent with the female chef checking regularly that the hot food was in good condition and not dried out. All in all, we felt our stay was a good one.
