I have never seen such lack of customer care at a hotel in my entire life: - I hold "Gold status" and requested early check-in by phone, the person on the other side of the line told me to get to the hotel and they could assess whether that would be possible or not. I personally do not understand what is the difference of looking at your screen while on the phone with me or looking at the screen with me physically there...; - Once at the hotel I was told early check-in was not possible and I can understand that. There's never guarantee for that. However, if I had the information on the phone I would not even bother going to the hotel and would program our activities accordingly optimizing our precious time when travelling; - In this case, we asked the hotel reception to keep our luggage while we would go for lunch while waiting for our room to be ready. We were told we would have to pay for it, quite odd when you have already paid over 800 euros for your stay... after insisting, hotel manager accepted to keep our luggage; - We were back from lunch at 15h15 and our "family room" was not ready yet. The reception staff gave us free drinks vouchers to entertain us while waiting for the room. Right after lunch that was not exactly what we wanted...; - Room was finally ready by 15h45 and we only figured that out because we asked for, no one would have the decency to let us know proactively; - Check-in done after 1h of trip wasted at hotel lobby waiting, my family and I finally went out to enjoy beautiful Rome. We were forced to come back to hotel due to heavy rains on that day. My parents are both over 60 years old and I asked a hair dryer at the reception to help us out. The receptionist asked for my room number and, after hearing "504" from my mouth, Carla started questioning why "we were for in this room" (?!?!?!?!) insinuating we were nor respecting hotel rules. I felt extremely disrespected in front of other customers. After few minutes of discussion, Carla (the receptionist) finally realized she was wrong and we were staying at the so called "family room" that can accommodate 4 guests. Even though, she wasn't willing to provide us temporarily a hair dryer because "our room already have one". I gave up and asked my elder parents to share the single dryer of our room; - At this moment I had other requests but didn't feel comfortable to raise them given the bad treatment received by Carla. It was wiser to go back to the reception later and speak to someone else; Hotel is ok but current staff have no sense of customer caring and as gold status customer I would expect a minimum of respect and, at least, some politeness when dealing with loyal clients. If ever in Rome again I do not intend to go back to Jo&Joe and do not recommend it to families travelling together. Hotel might be worth for young travelers that do not care about how they are going to be treated.

Beautifully decorated hotel in a great location. The neighbourhood is safe and has many shops and supermarkets. It is a 5mins walk from the Metro and a walkable distance to Roma Termini, the Colosseum, Vittoriano, Trevi fountain. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and a delight to be in.

The hostel was located not too far from key places to visit in Rome. The staff was very kind with agile customer care.
