The only qualm we had was the top bunk is not protected from the big light so if someone turns the light on in the middle of the night it is very bright, luckily I can sleep through anything but if you are sensitive to the light, bring an eye mask. Other than that it was an amazing place, great location, great price, and lovely staff.

The hostel was good. It was clean, the staff was very friendly and the Location is perfect. What made my stay kind of difficult was the bed. The beds were very loud. You could hear every movement because of the wood and or mattress. I you ever think about renovating, other beds maybe would be a good idea. Also what really bothered me was the fact that I couldn’t buy any coffee. Because of some dietary restriction, I cannot really eat from the buffet, so it wouldn’t be an option for me to buy the breakfast buffet. I couldn’t understand why there wasn’t a coffee machine in the kitchen or at the reception. In every hostel I stayed so far, you could easily order different coffee drinks for around 1,5-3€. To leave the hostel just for a quick coffee really was a bit unfortunate.

Staff were extremely friendly and found the room to have an excellent en suite and shower. Will definitely come again if I visit Rome alone again. Air con worked very well and the blinds on the bed made for excellent privacy. Metro and bus kings were close aswell for my commute around the city, and the colosseum and other landmarks were walking distance away.

I have to admit that this has been the best Hostel I've been to so far! I stayed in a 6 Bed-Female Dorm. The room was huge: one big entrance where you could put your shoes and jacket, a nice and clean bathroom with the possibility to hang up to two towels and a small table beneath the sink (which could be moved around) where you could put your toiletries. Opposite to the bathroom was another sink - So one person could always use the sink while someone else was e.g. taking a shower. Oh and the tap water was drinkable! The bedroom itself was huge. There was enough space to just walk around freely between the bunks. Each bunk had four coat hooks and there was also a small corner for changing clothes with curtains. The Hostel is also located in a very good area: just 15 minutes by foot from Roma Termini and only 10 minutes by foot to reach sights like the Colosseo or Piazza di Spagna. There's also a Bus stop right around the corner. The only thing that really bothered me was the fact that the matress was really loud when turning around. (Which is not as big as a problem when using ear plugs) If I ever were to visit Rome again, I'm gonna stay at JO&JOE'S!

This location is clean, comfortable and pretty. However, it is utterly ridiculous that paying guests cannot bring alcohol into their room, especially when the bar closes at 11pm.

The ladies at front desk are outstanding ! I stayed in the room 501 with 4 beds with 2 separated rooms and a bonus balcony ! Great Deal

Very clean room with a small balcony overlooking the courtyard. Plenty of seating, excellent breakfast, and a nice evening ambiance with a bar and snacks. Small evening events! Extremely central! We will definitely come back!
