Overall, the stay was good. The welcome was friendly, check-in was easy even though we arrived late, and the location is excellent—very central and perfect for visiting Rome. The hostel design is also very nice. However, a few issues affected our experience. We shared our dorm with an extremely noisy guest who was not part of our group. She was active throughout the night and sleeping during the day, making a lot of noise as if no one else was in the room. We informed the reception team, but unfortunately no action was taken, and the lack of sleep made the rest of our stay difficult. Hygiene was another concern. While we understand the concept of shared bathrooms, the cleanliness was not acceptable. From the first day, the toilet in our room was visibly dirty (including blood on the floor), and it was never cleaned. We also had no soap or shampoo upon arrival. Finally, on our last day, we were told about an Italian buffet for lunch and planned our schedule around it, only to find the restaurant empty. We were instead offered a main dish from the kitchen, which did not match what had been presented, either in price or quality. Overall, JO&JOE Roma has great potential thanks to its location and design, but improvements in cleanliness, dorm management, and communication would greatly enhance the experience.

It’s a very pleasant stay in a shared room. Staff are super friendly and keen to engage. Room is spacious with bunk beds. Bathroom needs a little bit love during our stay (no toilet paper, clogged shower)
