The staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the beds are extremely comfortable. The only downside to our stay was the temperature of the shower ( cold) and the poor water pressure.

The room was comfortable and large. Lobby was also comfortable. Location was perfect for walking or getting to destinations easily. The one thing that we were disappointed in is that I was 100% certain that I signed up for the breakfast to be included in our stay and we thought that we had paid for it. The rest of our trip overseas we checked in the hotels and our breakfasts were included, and that is how we tried to make our entire trip when we checked in the person first told us that we had breakfast included, and then the next day we were told that it was a mistake that it wasn’t.

The service from staff was exceptional and the guest experience was amazing - from the staff at reception who we were able to arrange an early check in, after arriving very tired from a long flight, the lovely Gabriella who looked after us at breakfast each morning and made sure we started our day feeling good, and the wonderful staff at the restaurant who were able to accomodate our dietary requirements and seat us in the fabulous outdoor area with amazing views of Rome. One of the best stays we had as a family. The staff could not do enough for us on the front desk. Alberto and the bar staff were amazing. Nothing was too much hassle. One aspect to improve would be the gym - for the size of the hotel, it would benefit from more machines and weights.

I spent 3 nights at Sofitel Roma Villa Borghese in July 2026 - my second stay at the property. Location near Spanish steps and Borghese Gardens is perfect - removed from the crowds and fray, but an easy walk to Trevi and Pantheon. The elevation gives sumptuous views of the historic city and Vatican from the inviting rooftop restaurant and bar. A pre-dinner appertivo there watching the sun set counts as a peak Roman experience. The rooms are chic and nicely appointed, with a modern Roman decor rooted in a clean, classical design idiom, in contrast to the somewhat "maximalist" decor that seems to feature in some other top Roman hotels. Rooms have high ceilings and upper floors have lovely views of the city or Borghese Gardens. The staff to a person is flawless - welcoming and helpful - for example, able to secure me a last minute entry ticket to the Galleria Borghese and a 2 Michelin star dining reservation when I had not had time to plan ahead. I can't thank the staff enough for making the property, and my stay, a delight. Sofitel Roma Villa Borghese feels like an "in the know" sort of secret, and a very good value for the property's caliber. Discerning travelers who value a discreet location, a chic design sensibility, and an unmatched rooftop appertivo will love it.
