A point worth noting: the taxi drivers summoned by the hotel did not act honestly in the performance of their duties. They took extra routes to drive up the fare—in short, they took longer, unnecessary paths. To avoid being taken advantage of, we would catch taxis at locations some distance away from the hotel. This type of situation was very unpleasant. Frankly speaking, we did not trust the hotel's doormen.

The Sofitel is located in a very beautiful neighbourhood, quiet but still within walking distance of all the major tourist sites. The breakfast place is on the roof which is amazing - the views of St Peter's Basilica in the morning light is very special. BUT, for me, the best thing about this hotel are the staff. Always friendly, professional and very helpful. We had a bit of a medical scare on the last day and concierge, reception and the general manager all stepped in to help. They helped organise everything and managed the situation very well. Yes, we would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends.

After traveling in Europe for a month this was the last of 7 hotels we stayed in during our trip. At the end of a long day and nearing the end of our travels we arrived at your location. Immediately upon entering your two front desk staff (Gabriel and Valentina) offered the most genuine and bright welcome. After weeks of mediocre customer service in multiple venues this was a welcomed change. I am not sure how best to describe it, but the smiles and warm greeting really gave us the feeling that we were welcomed and our business was valued. Even at the end of what I expect was a long day for them, they had no less of an enthusiastic greeting. The hotel is very nice and is well situated for things to do. The rooms are well designed, clean, and maintained. Valentina offered many wonderful suggestions for things to see during our stay and based her suggestions well on what we had seen previously. Gabriel initiated a room upgrade and along with Valentina and their evening manager were able to accommodate an amazing upgrade for most of our stay. I can say with all sincerity that I wish every hotel had such amazing staff working at their front desks. It is important for guests to feel as if their arrival is welcomed and not just the cursory "ID and Credit Card" greeting. This was our second stay at this property and I can confidently state that we would stay here again as well as recommend it to others. Thank you for such a positive experience!

Although our stay at Sofitel Roma Villa Borghese was excellent overall—from Paolo’s warm and thoughtful assistance, including help with prepayment and speaking Portuguese, to the spacious upgraded suite, sophisticated French-Italian design, Bose sound system, exceptional bathroom, excellent in-room coffee and teas, outstanding hotel bed, attentive housekeeping, and a superb breakfast blending French classics with local Roman products—we were disappointed by the sunset dinner at Settimo. We had been informed by email that we could only keep our table after 7:00 pm, despite our request to be seated at 6:45 pm. When we arrived at 7:05 pm, we still had to wait for several content creators to leave the area around our table. They had left drinks on it, and the staff had to rush to clean and prepare it to a minimally acceptable standard for dinner. We expected a more polished, high-level experience from the restaurant, especially considering the hotel’s standards. Unfortunately, because of this delay, we missed the sunset.
