I made the booking 3 months in advance of the stay to show it on my visa application. Below is my experience with the property. Problem 1: A couple of weeks after I made the booking I get an email from the property asking for cc details to "guarantee " reservation and authorise 200 euros. It wasn't a big deal for me but it's the first time ever that I got such a message Problem 2: 3 weeks after I had "guaranteed " my reservation and provided authorisation on my credit card I suddenly get an email that my reservation was cancelled. This was very stressful as this happened exactly when my visa was under processing. I immediately rebooked due to the visa process and contacted the hotel for an explanation. They didn't provide a reason but promised 20 euro fnb during my stay. Problem 3 : After a 13 hour flight and 80 euro taxi from the airport we were tired and wanted to check in and rest. We arrived at 8pm on night 1 of our booking. At the check in counter everything went ok until I went to my room with all my luggage and the key didn't work. Went down to the reception again and got the keys changed . They didn't work a 2nd time. I went back once again snd the hotel receptionist was confused. I asked him to double check the room number and he had written the wrong room number on my card. Stay summary : Due to all the above issues I had lost faith in the hotel completely and refused to spend any more money there. Breakfast was ok but no variety, the same dishes for 4 days straight. Positives : Comfortable bed They gave a go to breakfast bag on a day when I left for a day trip before 7 am Free drinks in minibar Water refill service I would never stay in this property again when I am in Rome. I would rather try the Mercure at Roma Termini or near the Colosseum.
