We stayed for seven nights. We had to move from the first room as air conditioning and climate control was broken we stayed in this room for three nights ( a premium room). The room was hot and stuffy and the only way to reduce it was to open the window, however the road outside was noisy, and people gather outside to smoke, chat and wait for taxis ( so extra noise). We eventually moved on night three to a much better and quieter room at the back of the hotel ( if this had been the original room we were allocated a better score would be achieved). The room quality overall is of a lower end budget hotel (lower than the Travelodge standard which is a budget hotel chain in the UK). However, one of the main reasons for the low score was the breakfast and the attitudes of the staff. On the first day ( after the terrible night's sleep) breakfast was great. Good selection, plenty of places to sit etc. This made up for the terrible sleep we had, however, day one at breakfast lulled us into a false sense of security. If you are expecting a kettle in the room to make a hot drink, then these are not supplied! I asked and they went off to find one , but they are not standard issue. From day two onwards breakfast was beyond terrible. On two of the days ( Saturday and Sunday) we came down twice to try and get a seat. Standing room only. The tables were littered of uncleared dirty plates, cups, cutlery glasses. There were NO clean cups, glasses, plates or cutlery. All breakfast items had rum out ( including basics like bread and jam!). The coffee machine had broke. When I asked where the clean plates etc where, I was told they were " in the dishwasher", and would not be ready for the end of breakfast! Another person asked about the food and was told " we have run out for today"! A group of us were then told we could get a voucher to go out for breakfast at another hotel. So we all went to the reception and enquired about the vouchers. The girl on the desk had no idea about the vouchers and said she would speak to the manager about reimbursement for the breakfast. So we went out and got a coffee and a pastry in the Old Town. We kept the receipts, ( about 22 euros) but were told by the hotel that we could not be reimbursed, we would have to email the manager directly! However we were given a drinks voucher for a drink each in the bar ( I had half a glass of prosecco...not even a full glass!). Overall, the hotel was chaotic and busy and poorly prepared for accomodating guests.

I am truly sorry that your overall experience fell far below expectations and that we did not provide the comfort, service, and consistency you deserved throughout your stay. First, I would like to apologise for the issues with the air-conditioning and climate control in your initial room. A hot and uncomfortable room is unacceptable, especially when it affects several nights of rest. I’m glad we could eventually move you to a quieter and more comfortable room, but it is disappointing that this was not provided from the start. Your comment regarding the overall room standard has also been noted, and we will be reviewing this internally. I am equally concerned to read about your breakfast experience. What you describe is far from the standard we aim to offer. This was clearly a failure in planning, staffing, and preparation during busy periods, and your feedback will be used to implement immediate improvements. I am especially sorry for the confusion regarding breakfast vouchers and reimbursement. You should not have been left without proper communication or assistance, and I regret the frustration this caused. The inconsistency between departments is something we are addressing urgently to prevent similar issues for future guests. Please also accept my apologies that the kettle request and bar service did not meet your expectations. These are small details, but they significantly impact comfort and satisfaction during a longer stay. While I am grateful to hear that your room cleanliness and the check-in experience were positive, I deeply regret that the rest of your stay did not reflect the standards we strive to uphold. This hotel is exceptionally well located, only a few minutes’ walk from the Old Town, which makes it perfect for exploring the city. The staff created a very welcoming atmosphere they were friendly, professional, and always willing to assist with any request. Overall, my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Fantastic stay! Well located. Easy public transport. Clean and comfy. Great and helpul staff. Good breakfast. The best feature for me is having a sauna in your own room. Great way to relax at the end of each day.
