The staff were truly friendly and professional. Our family had two rooms, and since the hotel was fairly quiet, we were upgraded to better rooms. This was a lovely gesture, and we received wonderful rooms. The only small downside—which I completely understand—was when we went to the restaurant in the evening. That night the menu had been reduced, and my spouse, who has quite a few dietary restrictions, couldn’t really find a dish they would have preferred. The staff did try to help with this. Overall, we were left with a very positive feeling about our visit.

This was my first stay at Novotel and felt welcomed right away. The hotel is at a great location and nearby the harbour, local transportation stops and old town. I had a nice surprice being upgrated to the executive room as a loyal guest (my second time staying at their hotel chain in a year). Event though the stay was great over all, there are a couple of things that effected to the total score: 1) the bathroom should have more place to hang towels and bathrobes. 2) breakfast at a four star hotel should be better than a basic hotels. I don't expect to have a miles long buffet tables, but this was a mini buffet. Also the warm meals (scramble eggs, bacon, sausages etc) needs to be hot and not luke warm.
