The restaurant was short-staffed on the Friday night (those present did a wonderful job however). All day coffee/hot drinks would have made the stay great too. I didn't realise that the breakfast hours also applied to coffee, and wandered down for a coffee at 10.15am and was disappointed. If I had known there would be no coffee available, I would have come down earlier. Thank you though, it was an enjoyable stay.

On the 25th of July I checked in at roughly 3pm for my overnight stay. I handed over my ID and debit card as I usually do at hotels and everything was good. I was given key to room 315. However, during the night at around 2am I was rudely awoken by someone trying to break into my room. It took multiple attempts until finally my room was broken into by a staff member. I was terrified as I was travelling alone, and had actually grabbed my car keys out of my bag to arm myself and was close to harming someone, the staff member was smart to not directly enter into the room. They were shocked to see me there and asked if I had a booking to which I said yes. To which they swiftly left. I was left stunned and shaken. Around 5 minutes later another staff member knocked at my door and asked to see my ID to which I obliged and unpacked my bag to grab out my wallet. He told me that the room was empty on their list and that no one should be in the room. I showed him my keys and my booking which I still had in my phone. He then asked to take a photo of my ID and my booking. I let him take a photo of my booking but not my ID, and I said if it was needed I would provide it in the morning at a reasonable time as I need my sleep before I travel back home in the morning. He left me alone after that however I was unable to sleep for the rest of the night as I was still rather shaken up from the encounter. The following morning I explained this to the manager who was extremely understanding and I appreciate it. She offered a full refund and an extended stay should I need to sleep but I had to decline the sleep due to needing to get on the next train to rural victoria. I was told by the management that following morning that due to accounts management not being in they would have to contact me via email and organise the refund this week however I have not received any communication at all regarding this. All I have recieved is an email asking me to rate my stay which if anything makes me rather angry.
