Finding this hotel was hardly an easy task. With my GPS directing me into the DFO car park and no direction on branding telling me to go anyway, I found this a highly frustrating experience. I finally go a parking attendant to point the hotel out to me but again, with no labeling or branding inside the car park. It was not clear where I should go. I eventually found the front of the hotel but the parking space out the front had been roped of so I had to go back into the DFO carpark, find a park and then go to the lift (which is at the absolute opposite corner to the hotel) dragging my bags. I had parked near the hotel corner presuming there would be a lift down to the lobby but no, no lift, no directions no signage. You might just as well have hung up a sign saying “you gotta guess”. From the time I arrived at DFO till the time I finally got to the front door of the hotel was around 40 VERY frustration minutes. When I finally got to the hotel front door, I was met by a very polite Asian lady who told me I had to go to the 5th floor to check in… Finally checked in and at at my room over an hour after I first arrived on site.

3rd or 4th time in novotel , and We couldn’t get the heater work properly, the fan was running until 3 am and we couldn’t make it stop. Uncomfortable having to call reception at 3 o clock.

Stay was made terrible by the air conditioning staying at a constant 19 degrees to 22 degrees despite having maintenance “fix” the issue and contacting reception on 3 seperate occasions.

Always pleasant staff, but there was broken glass on the bathroom floor, no ironing board or iron, the kettle didn't function. The latter two challenges were remedied quickly and in a very friendly manner (albeit a makeshift ironing ironing board cover). I otherwise had an enjoyable stay. Better you know than not say anything. No doubt, some impact with staffing due to COVID.

Stayed for 4 nights on a work trip in May. The hotel itself and the staff were lovely, and the room was really nice. That said, there are not a lot of options nearby for purchasing groceries & essentials etc. A little disappointed that a Novotel didn't provide daily room attendance to make bed & clean the bathroom etc. - I understand some colleagues were advised of this at check-in, but I don't recall being told this. It's understandable that labour hire is difficult in these current challenging times, I just would have preferred to have been made aware of the change in service.

I pulled up at the front of the hotel, as I did not know where to park. This was probably the only negative experience. George was lovely and explained where I could park. I did find it a little bit out of the way and the lifts were on the other did of the car park, so getting luggage to the hotel was not easy. We decided to extend our stay for an extra night, and this was easily arranged. Staff were very friendly and helpful. George was a highlight. On checkout there was a very long line up, but as the staff were efficient, we were not waiting very long at all. (We had to validate parking, otherwise we would have used the express check out)

Great location for the hotel. Close to shops and restaurants. Not in the Center of the city but still close enough to enjoy everything it has to offer. Public transport super close and easy to get too. Lovely room and amenities. Will stay again. Only let down is the signage for the hotel through out the DFO carpark, we were unable to find it easily and didn’t park in a very suitable place, would recommend advising which part to park or more signage in the carpark.

I stayed on the 17th floor for 2 nights, the room was not large but had everything needed, bed was comfortable, shower was hot, staff went above and beyond when I had an issue with lost car keys. The bar and restaurant had nice seating and quick service.

This stay was booked for a family of four as a “DELUXE TWO BEDROOM CITY VIEW APARTMENT WITH 1 K ING BED AND 2 SINGLE BEDS” Upon arrival it was found that both rooms were made up as king beds. House keeping and reception were asked to rectify this but I was informed that it was not possible as the hotel had no such beds/rooms. This is despite the fact that the booking was specific regarding bedding configuration and made on the Accor website. Bringing this to the attention of reception again the following morning the beds were reconfigured as booked for the second night of my stay. Although the booking stated that the suite featured ‘a Fully Equipped Kitchen’ It was found to have only two drinking glasses, no dishwashing liquid or tea towel, no dish sponge, no dishwasher cleaning tablets and a miserly supply of tea and coffee pods. This was also brought to the attention of the hotel. I was initially advised that the hotel did not provide these but further enquiries the next day resulted in supply of dishwashing liquid, two additional glasses and a sponge. A tea towel and dishwasher tabs were never supplied. The coffee and tea was not replenished. I advised reception upon checkout that I was not satisfied with the service the hotel provided and have requested a refund of the first night’s booking. I have followed this up with an email to the hotel reception and am currently awaiting a response.

Had 2 nights. Staff friendly and helpful on check in. Room was clean and roomy. Easy walk to all attractions and DFO straight across the road. Great places to eat and enjoy the view of the river. Fantastic!
