The only thing that had had gone downhill since our last stay with you, was the breakfast, although satisfactory, fell well short of your previous offering that allowed you to select continental or full breakfast, for different prices. The full option was cooked to order, so was fresh & hot. I have stayed in a lot of hotels, both here & abroad. The cooked-to-order option set this hotel apart from most of them.

Check in staff was friendly, kindly extend check out time and gave us a bigger room. Unfortunately the room itself was a little worn out, the hallway lights peaks into the room at night, and the curtains were blackout and windows faced another building so there was very little natural light.

Well located close to Southern Cross Station, the hotel is comfortable without any frills. The room was small and basic. A window without any views. It was kept closed as the noise from the air-conditioners was harsh.The staff were friendly and helpful. Not sure how a wheelchair would get to the lobby from street level though as there was no elevators.

Pleasent central location with easy access to CBD and sights, however there were a few issues that need to be addressed. 1) We had a fire alarm set off at 1am on Saturday morning and there was no direction from staff. The 'whooping' sound alarm went off for more than 5 mins before the 'please evacuate' voice over commenced. Once down the fire stairs - which were terribly dirty and unkept - everyone congrigated on the footpath at the front of the building. There were no hotel staff to be seen - none directing patrons away from the front of the hotel to a safe distance [e.g to accross the street or down the road] tor to allow space for fire services to enter the building. Thankfully it was a false alarm, however had there been a fire those early minutes to evacuate could make a difference and having no direction for people out the front could have placed patrons at risk. 2) I was in Room 349 and as a solo female traveller I felt very uncomfortable being so far away from the main part of the building- having to take the multiple halls from the lift to my room was not a good experince even for a seasoned solo traveller. I would suggest considering placing female travellers closer to the main lift or place corner mirrors in the halls so that line of sight around corners is possible - stepping around blind conrers is espacially triggering. Secondary to that, at night there is a considerable gap down both sides of the door. This not only let an excessive amount of light in, but I could see out of the gap into the hall - making the revese just as easy. I have taken a photo of the amount of light coming through if you would like to see it. As a female traveller the thought of anyone being able to place a small camera through this gap was deeply disturbing. 3) Bathroom supplies - while I appricaite this is a low cost hotel, having a combined Shampoo / Conditioner / Body wash product is very unncessary. I have used the Ibis low cost hotels in Perth and they have excellent products and had been expecting the same level of comfort. 4) No disability access at front door. While this did not affect me, I did notice that there was only steps to the main reception and not lift for wheelchair / less abled persons. My bag was quite heavy and while the staff helped me to carry it down, with no disability lift had I been less able bodied then this hotel would be inacccessible. On a postive note, the beds were comfortable and the room clean.
