I am an Accor member. I was placed in a room above very loud street drilling. At midnight after attempting to sleep for hours, I finally attempted to call reception which was not answering. I went down to reception and asked to be moved rooms. The reception said there was nothing they could do and gave me crappy earplugs and said it would be happening until 3am!!! I was given no warning of the works and noise, i was placed directly above issue and at 3.30am the noise was still happening. I will not be staying at Accor again, I would like my membership payment of hundreds of dollars refunded and I have notified my team not to stay at the Movenpick again.

The failure to offer a suitable solution, the lack of an immediate room change, and the incorrect information regarding the duration of the noise are all serious service failures, and I am very sorry for the distress and lack of sleep this caused you. We value your loyalty, and it is clear that we failed to demonstrate this during your stay. Your comments regarding the value of the loyalty program and the lack of benefits are also noted and will be forwarded to the relevant teams. We are immediately reviewing our procedures for managing external noise disturbances, our communication protocols with guests, and the training of our front office team to ensure such a situation is never repeated. I stay there often and check out at 7am in the morning. This trip i requested a late check out it was a Wednesday and the staff told me that they were booked out and did not extend the time. A bit disappointed.
