It's very chill and we like the space alot. It is a new hotel since taking over from Bintan Lagoon Resort. Lots of work (renovation in progress) to be completed. Only when the hotel is fully operational, we can truely experience what this hotel can offer fully. Overall, since we came during the soft launch of the hotel, I think it's positive and we love the staffs' enthusiasm and their hospitality making our stay a wonderful experiences. The selection of food is great and suits our palate. We love the Chocolate Hour and that is a lovely addition to the experience. My daughter had so much fun at the Little Birds Club. What made her experience so fun is the team who managed the Little Birds Club, they are really enthusiastic playing with children and attentive to their needs. There were few things that we think it needs touching up: 1. The main swimming pool area need more mosquito controls. There were many flying around making my dips in the pool unbearable. 2. As the weather is either sunny or wet, it will be good to build canopies around the swimming pool area. 3. Build canopies for the kids outdoor playground as it can get very hot under the sun. We had a wonderful experience with Shintia Guest Experience Manager and her team during check in/out. She mentioned the hotel will be fully functional by December. We are definitely looking to come back with our family for another adventure! Keep up the great work! You are awesome! 👍

Pre-arrival: The reservation team was fast in reaching out to me via email and confirming our ferry details and informing us the additional charges of extra bed which was not auto-included via the hotel booking website. Prior to our check-in, we noticed for the same check in and check our date, the total room charges is about $82 cheaper than our rate. For booking earlier, that price disparity seems unfair and booking platform should include the extra bed at point of booking. Anyway, I had raised my concern to reservation team prior to my arrival. However, there were no response at all after 6 days, there was an follow-up email sent too; both were not attended. Arrival: Service staff at ferry terminal are polite and speak English. A van was used to pick us, the seat that I took had an empty glass bottle. Suggest airport transfers team to ensure van is cleared of rubbish before they pick up the next batch of guests. Guestroom: Cold towel and welcome drink served timely. Highlighted the price disparity issue to FO upon check-in; she then speak to the reservation supervisor had it was resolved within the same day. An email from reservation supervisor was then received (fresh email, and not using my email thread). As this was my 2nd visit within March, the 1st time we received welcome message via WhatsApp. However, I did not receive any this time. We even went for lunch at Port 19 before entering our bedroom. However, upon entering the bedroom, we noticed that in-room slippers were not placed, the paper binder for slippers were left behind by the previous guests. Floor has food crumbs and hair. Room amenities for 3rd guest was not placed in the room. Water tap in washroom is loose. Since I had the hotel WhatsApp number saved in my previous stay, I message the hotel to have the issue rectified (while we were out). Turndown service is a nice touch to our stay. Port 19: It seems like the breakfast spread for both days are the same, lack of menu rotation. The 2nd day the hotel was accommodating to large French group. They had all the glass door panel to open to cater the the group preference? Do note that you do not have air curtain being installed, we were seated by the window and there were no cool air; and we could literally feel the heat coming in through the window. I pity the service crew as they were rushing to serve the guests but the working condition is just not great. As the outlet manager was wearing light colour shirt, I noticed the back of his shirt is totally wet! Service staff are keen to serve and polite. But the comprehension of English needed to be trained. We asked for English Breakfast Tea with milk. The tea came without milk in it or not even milk jar were served. There were other occasion from my last stay, I asked if the sauteed spinach is with cream. I was told it doesn't and when the spinach arrived, it is cream style. I did not ask for a change and eat it anyway since I am not lactose intolerant. Lunch - the portion and price paid is reasonable. We ordered a few local delight and they were all great. The chilli that was served with Bintan Laksa was different from my last stay. I would say the previous one is better. Recreation Club: The team members there are helpful and always smiling. The free activities are adequate, too bad the dance machine was down while we were there. Food and drinks served at the RP had exceeded my expectation. The only let down was the bleu cheese in our salad. It contains an artificial essence which ruin the dish. Swimming Pool: When asked about pool float, the staff told me there is none. I showed them a picture of the float they provided in my last stay. I was then told that they have to check with the RC team. It took them a while to get back. They claimed that the float was meant for the kids pool at RC, but the photo was then taken at the main pool. I did not argue and just thank them. There were nasty drainage smell around the pool and near the beach. This should be addressed before the soft opening of the resort. We witnessed the drain water going into the sea, perhaps the drainage should not be so obvious to guest? Deli: Chocolate hour is a delight experience. Since it is complimentary, cannot fault for the amount of spread offered. We ordered a few drinks and the pandan latte was the best and we even re-visit after check-out (while waiting for our transfers). Check-out: Check-out was swift no issue encountered. Transfer arrived timely too. Overall: There were a few let down this time as compared to the 1st stay. Not sure if the experience manager was on leave, we did not see her at all this time. She even showed us the way to our block upon arrival and met us during breakfast (the last stay). There were even power trip this time.

From the moment I began coordinating my stay, the communication was seamless. The guest reservations team was incredibly prompt, and because I mentioned we were celebrating a birthday, the crew went the extra mile to decorate our room, making for a very warm welcome. Check-In & Service The check-in process was a breeze. As an Accor Gold member, I was grateful for an upgrade to a Terrace Room. What truly stands out at this property is the staff. From the front desk and concierge to housekeeping and the restaurant team, everyone was genuinely nice and seemed to truly enjoy working there. It creates a great atmosphere for guests. The Room & Cleanliness I am exceptionally particular about cleanliness, and I can honestly say this hotel surpassed my standards. The housekeeping is top-notch, and the entire property felt spotlessly clean. The Good:The rooms are a decent size, and the balcony is massive. The Feedback: I do wish the room included a bathtub. Also, while the balcony is huge, we didn't spend much time there—it would be a great addition to have a **drying rack** on the balcony for pool clothes, as there isn't currently a dedicated spot for them. Dining: A Tale of Two Meals Breakfast: 10/10 The breakfast here is amazing. The spread is huge, and everything is prepared fresh. Highlights included: * A dedicated fresh juice bar. * Incredible waffles. * The egg station, specifically the scrambled eggs, which were light, fluffy, and prepared to perfection (something many hotels unfortunately get wrong). Dinner: The One Disappointment While breakfast was a highlight, the buffet dinner at Port 19 was a significant letdown. It was Easter weekend, and the buffet felt quite pathetic compared to the morning spread. Popular items like pizza and pasta ran out constantly. The selection was much smaller than breakfast and appeared to be mostly leftover items from the lunch menu with only a few additions. The standards simply didn't match the rest of the hotel's quality. I would recommend sticking to the ala carte menu or dining elsewhere for dinner. Facilities & Recreation The recreation zone is excellent. If you like to keep up with your fitness, the gym is huge and well-equipped for a proper workout. We also checked out the Chocolate Hour, it’s a nice touch and worth stopping by once, though I wouldn't necessarily wait in a long queue for it. Final Verdict Despite the disappointing dinner experience, the exceptional service, pristine cleanliness, and wonderful breakfast made for a very enjoyable stay. It is a super relaxing spot, and I would definitely return for another quick escape.

We spent 2 nights in the hotel and I sincerely wish we could stay longer. Big new property, was very quiet after Easter, stuff was very attentive and kind. Several pools (including only kids) , amazing gym , bicycles for rent and yoga rooms. Very big spread at the breakfast and all high quality as expected from Mövenpick . Michelle at the reception was excellent!
