We’ve had an amazing time at the movenpick bintan lagoon. The resort and surroundings are gorgeous. The staff is amazing. Special shoutout to Bayu and G at the sonada beach club! They were very helpful and funny! The rooms are very comfortable and good sized. Food at all the restaurants was really good. The recreation centre is fun for all ages!

Nice place to wind down chill & relax

I found the staff very courteous and helpful. Other than the rooms and the hotel, i found the switches in the room inconvenient. there was only a master switch, reading, night light and ambience switch. You could not switch off the other lights in the wardrobe and behind the bed. The coffee in the room was Movenpick but providing a creamer instead of milk capsules did not add justice.

We had a wonderful stay at Mövenpick Bintan, and although the resort is still under its soft opening period, the overall experience was already very impressive. The resort itself is huge and beautifully designed, and I really appreciated that buggy services are provided to bring guests around the property. There are so many facilities and areas to explore that having the buggy service makes getting around much more convenient and enjoyable. What impressed me the most was the service provided by the staff. Everyone we encountered was professional, warm and genuinely helpful. They always had a smile on their faces and were very proactive in approaching guests, checking if they needed anything and even making small talk to make them feel welcomed. As someone who also works in the hotel industry, I can confidently say that the service attitude and guest engagement here really stood out to me. You can tell that the team is putting a lot of effort into creating a memorable experience for their guests, especially while the resort is still in its soft opening stage. A special mention to Michelle, who was one of the staff members who really made our stay more memorable. She was extremely helpful, attentive and genuinely concerned about our experience. Whenever we encountered some issues with the room, she was quick to assist and made sure everything was properly followed up. Her warm attitude and willingness to go the extra mile really reflected what good hospitality should be about. Thank you, Michelle, for taking such good care of us! For families travelling with children, Mövenpick Bintan is also a fantastic choice. The Kids Club is huge and very well equipped, and I was particularly impressed that they even have a sleeping room for the little ones. There are also several swimming pools around the resort, including the ocean pool, kids’ pool and Beach Club pool, so there are plenty of options for both adults and children to enjoy. Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay at Mövenpick Bintan. Considering that the resort is still under soft opening, the level of service and attention to detail from the team was already commendable. With such a beautiful and expansive property, great facilities and a genuinely caring team, I can only imagine how amazing the resort will be once everything is fully up and running. Definitely a place I would recommend for a relaxing family getaway, and we would love to come back again!

Everything is wonderful. Gym, Restaurant Food, Room service, Housekeeping are all good. However, Wi-Fi needs major improvement. It is very slow and at times fails to load. Unable to do some work when needed.

I planned a 3D2N stay at Movenpick resort bintan. The whole process from arrival at ferry terminal to the resort was a breeze. Hotel rooms are clean and new. Housekeeping team, hotel receptionist and the F&B team were approachable, warm and helpful. They seek constant feedback from guest to improve. Please do continue with maintenance work such as pipe drainage of the toilet shower area to prevent “ponding” which is a common thing for resorts and hotels with high occupancy. Its’ a great place for families with children in general. I personally think it would be a PLUS point if this resort adopts a concept of having a section solely for couples or singles who wish to relax and enjoy a quiet “getaway me time”. Spa is very new with modern infrastructure. Prices are reasonable for a 4-5 star resort. They however, do have areas to improve on eg. masseurs’ massage technique, providing disposable underwear for guests. Overall, my sis and I are pleased with our staycation

Impeccable service by everyone we’ve encountered at the resort. Our room was clean and as advertised. The food establishments were wonderful and we’ve tried all of them. Port 19’s Indonesian cuisine was our favourite. Coffee though however could be better. We’re quite particular about our coffee and spotted some really nice espresso machine around the resort but we’re disappointed as most times the espresso/espresso-based coffee tasted burnt. Sonada beach club was an outstanding place for a relaxing beachfront location. We’ve spent a whole day and a half on the loungers at the beach club during our short 3D2N stay. Perhaps the only downside would be the sandflies situation at the beach. I was back home with limbs full of itchy bites that surfaced a couple of days after the end of my trip, which apparently is the nature of sandfly bites. It took weeks for it to be less itchy and I’m still covered with the pit scars from the bites. Wonder if there’s anything to do about it and if guests could be warned beforehand or provided with some repellent of sort.

We really enjoy our stay at Movenpick Bintan. The resort, while still in soft launch phase, has exceeded most of our expectation. Abundance of activities for the all kind of age. They also provide kids amenities in the room (which are not always available in all resorts). We look forward to come here again once the sports centre are ready. Special shout out to Priscilia for making the check-in process smooth, and was able to explain all the things in the resort for us.

We both are in the hospitality industry as well and I have to say that we are truly impressed with the level of professionalism and commitment of the team. We had a wonderful stay at Mövenpick Resort Bintan while celebrating our anniversary, and overall, it was a lovely and memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth and welcoming. A special mention to David, (I think it’s his name) who assisted us during check-in. He was friendly, professional, and made us feel comfortable right from the start. It was a great way to begin our anniversary getaway. Throughout our stay, the restaurant staff were consistently warm, attentive, and friendly. They made an effort to ensure that we were well taken care of, and their service really added to the experience. Everyone we interacted with was approachable and happy to assist. One of the concierge team drove us around the property whenever we needed assistance getting from one place to another. His cheerful attitude and willingness to help made getting around the large resort much easier. Little touches like this really make a difference, especially when you’re there to relax and celebrate a special occasion. We also enjoyed the spa experience, which was very relaxing. In fact, it was so good that I actually fell asleep during the treatment! That probably says everything about how relaxing it was. 😄 It was exactly what we needed to unwind. We also ordered room service, and I was impressed that the team actually called us back afterward to check whether everything was alright with our order. That extra follow-up showed genuine care and attention to detail. It wasn’t just about delivering the food — they wanted to make sure we were satisfied. The resort itself has plenty to keep you occupied. The swimming pool is huge, and it’s a great place to spend a lazy afternoon. There are also plenty of activities around the resort, which makes it suitable for both couples and families. We particularly enjoyed having the option to rent bicycles and explore the property at our own pace. Overall, Mövenpick Resort Bintan was a great choice for our anniversary celebration. The combination of the beautiful property, relaxing spa, large pool, activities, and most importantly, the friendly and attentive staff made our stay special. A big thank you to David, Haiqal, the concierge team, the restaurant staff, the spa team, and everyone else who made our anniversary getaway such a pleasant one. We left feeling relaxed, well taken care of, and with some wonderful memories from our stay. We would definitely consider coming back again. ❤️

Had a wonderful birthday celebration for 2 little girls and a girls trip. Rooms were well cared for, beautifully furnished and had all we need. The food was great at all locations we tried (Port19, Yokatta, Sonada, Recreation village). The pools are all beautiful and the new beach club too. The spa is new - nicely furnished by please reconsider the lymphatic massage treatment. My friend has this and ended up with bruises all over from the pressure of the treatment
