We have stayed in this hotel for 13 times over the last 4 years. Besides its location, the front desk staff had always been professional. We have had good experience with housekeeping in the past but the experience for this recent stay was disappointing. This recent stay was for 4 weeks. They were tardy, cursory, in and out of the room in only a couple of mins and most of the time not even acknowledging the completion of job while I was in the room and just left without a word. Very often, I would have to call housekeeping around 4.30pm as they would still had not cleaned the room despite having put the please clean room sign outside the door since mid morning. On the third last day, I called at 4.30pm, housekeeping promised to sent someone. No one came. I called again at 6.10pm, no one came. At 6.35pm, a cleaner was cleaner was cleaning the room opposite mine. I went out and told my room was not cleaned. She said she will go round cleaning the rooms in sequence and will eventually come to mine. That would be another 6 rooms. I gave up and told her to just exchange some clean towels. I also went out to empty all my bins into her cart garbage bag. I had to remind them to change my bed sheets once a week as they would never have changed them. The floor was vacuumed perhaps twice a week. It certainly gives me the impression that since I was a long stay guest, my room cleaning was of very low priority. Perhaps the hotel is very short of staff which the management will have to seriously look into. Service had always been a selling point for this hotel other than its excellent location because the rooms are rather tired and old.
