So F TripAdvisor review

A very basic hotel frequented by cabin crew and those working in travel. It is very functional with no standout features. Rooms are standard, with strong a/c - a bit too much if your asking me. Check in takes far too long. I find it annoying and dangerous how rooms have a step in the bathroom which I stubbed my toe on. Gym is ok, breakfast is very good.

The location is well with shopping mall just opposite the hotel. The restaurant in the lobby is nice as well. The room is spacious which makes the stay more comfortable. The staff services are good. They are nice and welling to help.

I have stayed at Mercure Roxy many times over the last 15 years but have also tried a couple of other hotels in Katong. I like the large spacious rooms but hate the shower over a bath. It is expensive but makes up for it with old fashioned service.

I think the hotel is very good, near & clean, with good staff. But it is located "little" away from everything important in SG. But the MRT station right opposite the hotel kind of makes up for it. Also, the hotel can provide water in the rooms. But they have installed water filters at each floor and we had to go to fill our bottles which thankfully we were carrying. Otherwise it would be slight hassle. Another thing is that the TV was not connected to the same WiFi (at least it showed on the screen that it is not), because of which we couldn't Cast anything on it. We would need a Samsung phone to mirror the screen.
