Fantastic Family Vacation - Great for Kids! "We visited Homm Laguna Bintan with our [number] kids and had a blast. It was incredibly convenient with the free shuttle from the ferry terminal. The kids loved the pool and the Kids' Club, which gave us parents some time to relax at the spa (highly recommend a massage!). The beach is very safe for children with gentle waves. We also appreciated that we could use the facilities at the sister resorts nearby. Special mention to Mariati, Benny & Fransisca. The staff were amazing with the little ones, always smiling and helpful. The breakfast spread had plenty of options for picky eaters, too. If you are a family looking for a hassle-free Bintan holiday, I highly recommend booking here."

Location is inconvenient, nearest mall is Plaza Lagoi but only 2 Japanese restaurants open (sushi n ramen) and Mustafa to get snacks n drinks. There are some spas there but looks shady, better to do it at the resort. All other shops are not occupied. If U prefer some shopping n local food, suggest venturing to Tanjung Pinang which is about an hour away. We had most of our meals at the resort which has other options from Cassia n Banyan Tree. Hotel room was very nice. Our 2BR walks to the beach and had a jacuzzi. Bfast buffet spread is extensive with local n western items but taste wise is so so. Cut fruits n fruit juices are not timely replenished. We spent most of our time at the resort just rest n relax. Enjoyed the spa treatment at 8lement Spa. The Reception staff El and Gideon were English-speaking and take initiative to ask about our stay which was very helpful.

My family decided to take a break from Singapore and spend a few days on the beautiful beach at Homm Laguna (f.k.a. Angsana). Unfortunately, on our second day a family member had a medical emergency (no fault of the resort). It's in situations like this when service really matters. The care and concern demonstrated by the Homm staff was five star. At 8pm a resort car and driver took us first to the Lagoi Tourism Clinic for an ECG. At 1am two resort security guards drove us 1hr 20m to a Bintan hospital for an X-ray and examination. They stayed with us the whole time, helped translate, and drove us back to the resort at 4am. The resort also helped us arrange for a ferry the same day back to Singapore. When we checked out, I expected to see the cost of the late night service on my bill, but there was nothing - only genuine concern from the staff and a voucher for our resort stay that was cut short. Special shout out to Elvaretta and Maruli at Reception, Indra our driver to the clinic, Epi and Bunyamin our security escort to the hospital, Pancha the Front Office Supervisor, and Kris the Duty Manager. Thank you and great job everyone.

Nice place for a short holiday with family. Facility and beach are good. Ranger club is good for baby to stay in. Pool is good. Staff are very nice. Pancha, Dave and the girl from reception are nice and helpful

We booked the island family suite which has our own jacuzzi. The service was impeccable right from the ferry terminal pickup. All the hotel staff, including the handymen greeted us warmly and spoke to us asking about whether our needs are addressed. We have visited their restaurant at treetops at their sister hotel banyan tree; as well as the 8 elements spa; and their sat bbq dinner; everything was what we wished for. Kudos to Pancha and Dave; who has also kindly extended our checkout time to 3pm due to late ferry departure timing at 5pm. The only criticism I can give is the relatively age of the hotel. But all these are inconsequential due to the 5 stars service, food and amenities! We will only be staying here in our next visit to Bintan!
