Having enjoyed a great pre-arrival email connection with the hotel team, the actual experience was not great! I arrived a day late due to family health issues, my travelling companions joked about the 'grumpy' night service who told them that there was no space in the €15 per day parking (that had been booked earlier in the week). The parking area had not been gritted/salted, the same for the pathway from the parking to the hotel - it was sheet ice and one of my group slipped and fell. On Saturday evening, the bar staff closed the bar and left the building without informing us (approx. 2300), turning the lights out - the night person refused to serve another drink (when does that ever happen in a ski resort on holiday?). On Sunday evening, we retuirned to the hotel just after 1030 and the same again - the bar closed and in darkness, no ability to have a nightcap before bed. Getting served at the bar was difficult even when it was open with staff need ing to get up from their meal table to come to serve after waiting many minutes. From Sunday night into Monday there was no hot water in the rooms, so showers, shaving etc. had to be taken in water that was literally mountain fresh - again, not great on a ski holiday. Finally, breakfast and eggs, a critical part of skiers' breakfast - the scrambled were inedible and the egg boiler was not hot enough and therefore took a few errors (wasted eggs) and over 10 minutes to even get to Italian-style (translucent). I love the ALL brand and I understand that IBIS Styles is mid-budget but honestly, I was really disappointed with my/our stay at the IBIS Styles Les Houches - we will not be returning.

Nous sommes vraiment navrés pour l’accueil perçu comme peu chaleureux à votre arrivée ainsi que pour les difficultés rencontrées avec le parking. Les conditions hivernales en station peuvent être exigeantes, mais cela ne doit en aucun cas compromettre la sécurité de nos clients. Votre remarque concernant le déneigement et le salage a été transmise à notre équipe afin que la vigilance soit renforcée. Concernant le bar, nous comprenons parfaitement votre déception. En station de ski, partager un dernier verre fait partie des petits plaisirs des vacances. Toutefois, nous tenons à préciser que notre restaurant ainsi que notre bar ferment à 22h00, conformément à la réglementation en vigueur qui ne nous autorise pas à servir de l’alcool au-delà de cet horaire. Nous regrettons sincèrement si cela ne vous a pas été clairement communiqué et si la fermeture a pu vous sembler abrupte. Nous sommes également désolés pour le manque d’eau chaude constaté dans la nuit de dimanche à lundi. Un incident technique indépendant de notre volonté est malheureusement survenu, et nous comprenons parfaitement l’inconfort que cela a engendré après une journée de ski. Enfin, nous prenons bonne note de vos remarques concernant le petit-déjeuner, notamment les œufs. Ce moment doit être à la hauteur des attentes de nos clients skieurs, et votre retour nous aide à identifier les points à améliorer. Votre attachement à la marque ALL nous touche, et c’est justement parce que nous partageons cette exigence que votre expérience nous déçoit également. Nous aurions sincèrement souhaité vous laisser un meilleur souvenir de votre passage aux Houches. Nous vous remercions encore pour votre franchise et espérons que vous nous donnerez peut-être un jour l’opportunité de regagner votre confiance. Though an ALL Accor gold member, was put in a standard room that you could see into from the carpark. I think possibly the worst room in the hotel. The room was dated, it looked like it hadn't been repainted or looked after in quite a while. Parking is expensive and was booked out when i got there. There's free parking next to the ski lift. Breakfast was limited with zero fruit. Just meat, cheese, stale bread, and a small amount of eggs, bacon, and beans. Honestly, the only good thing about the hotel is the proximity to the Les Houches ski lift, and my partner had a good pizza the night before.

The hotel is well located, close to the main activities of Les Houches, it is pretty clean, cosy, and the room is pretty spacious.
