Reason for my stay was a sad memorial service, my room offered a place for peaceful reflection, and it is difficult not to feel optimistic in this wonderful setting. After the service many of us wanted to stay together and without any notice the hotel provided food and drinks for everyone.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. The hotel is very centrally located, it has an easy access to the shuttle busses to the slopes leaving from the bus station nearby. The village of Megeve is a real gem and is so much more than just a standard ski resort. People who work at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and our room was comfortable and had a lovely view of the village. One thing that I’d like to mention which could be improved, is the opportunity to dry wet ski clothes - we found the lack of a drier guests could use or some other option for drying wet ski clothes challenging. Otherwise we are planning to be back soon!

Great location, perhaps the room wasnt heated as much as I would have preferred. Otherwise everything great!

We had the most amazing check in- we were just treated so nicely and with respect by Lucy- this was also the case for the entire time of our stay. The hotel is modern and has everything you can imagine. Our room was the best part, two floors meant it felt a bit more like home. The only downside was the restaurant and bar: breakfast is slightly chaotic and there was always something missing - whether it was jam, cups or plates. The choice was ok but could be improved with more protein for example like ready made omelettes and boiled eggs. As for cocktails, this could also be improved as it’s not of quality.

We were reasonably satisfied with our room. However, the children's programme, was not well managed or staffed. The staff seemed fairly uninterested. It is the first time at a hotel that my daughter would not go into the children's programme. My concerns about the staffing were confirmed when I was playing with my daughter in the snow F. in front of the hotel. The two Novotel children's staff members were there with 4 children in their care. The two staff members had their backs to the children most of the time, talking with each other, and looking at their phones. One kept vaping as well. I would not think vaping would be allowed around the children. The children saw her and were asking her if she was vaping. The smallest child, maybe 4 or 5 years old, cried a few times but the two staff paid very little attention to her, just shouting at the other children to play with her. Then they would turn their backs again, vape, look at their phones. I couldn't believe that they would shout at the children and not be focused on their safety. I would never put my child in this programme and would not stay at this Novotel in the future as the children's activities are important to us, but I would not trust your staff with my 5 year old daughter. I also reported this to the front desk.
