Beautiful resort and great guest room. Experience will be enhanced with the beach club. Clearly resort is new and things to sort out. Overall food experience (except breakfast) fairly poor. Most food service staff seemed inexperienced.

It’s been over a month and I can’t begin to tell you how disappointed I am in my experience of staying at the Fairmont, La Hacienda. To think that I left my toiletry bag behind with much-needed prescriptions and could’ve had a courier service pick them up the night of my departure, May 24, and after three attempts of reaching the Hotel and talking to the concierge department, nobody was able to help me And then after more phone calls, I’m told that they will ship my bag to my home in Florida, which never happened I can assure you my review for the Fairmont La Hacienda will reflect this terrible experience. I expect so much more from supposedly a first rate Hotel. I do not have the manager‘s name of the hotel and I wish I did because I would let them know just what terrible service was provided. Positive: upgrade (thank you!); VERY friendly staff! Negative: luggage delivery after arrival took more than 30 min to be brought to room. The fridge in room not working; no turndown service for both nights (even after requested online and double checked DND not on); booked via travel agent and VIP amenity never delivered; breakfast service where a cup of coffee took 30 min and several requests; poolside service slow and with mistakes where wrong food delivered; valet retrieval was slow and had to repeat request even thought called royal service 15 min in advance and once at lobby, no one was aware of the request. Unfortunately, the hotel felt very "over whelmed" and under staffed during our stay.
