First of all, I would like to express how much we appreciated the setting of your establishment. The hotel is magnificent, the rooms are beautiful, and having both suites 1161 and 1162 was a real advantage during our stay. We also found the staff particularly kind and the concierge service very efficient. However, despite these positive aspects, several issues affected our overall experience. On the very first evening, at around 7:00 p.m., we discovered that there was no hot water and no heating in the room. I had to call repeatedly for about 30 minutes before someone finally intervened. As we had plans to go out that evening, we had to make alternative arrangements: we used another room to shower, and my son had to take a cold shower. The following day, when we returned at 4:30 p.m., housekeeping had still not been done. After our call, someone came at around 4:45 p.m., which is already quite late in the afternoon. We therefore requested that housekeeping be carried out between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., an option that had been offered to us upon arrival. Unfortunately, the next day at noon the room was still not ready, and housekeeping was only started around 12:15 p.m. On the fourth day, when we returned at 3:00 p.m., the cleaning was still in progress. In addition, only one of the two rooms was on the housekeeping list, which required yet another call from us. On the fifth day, when we came back around 12:00 p.m., only one room had been cleaned, and we once again had to contact reception to have the second room serviced. Regarding breakfast, on the first morning at around 10:10 a.m., there was no orange juice left. We were simply told that there was no more available, with no alternative solution offered. A guest who arrived after us also expressed her surprise that a hotel of this standard would run out of such a basic item. The explanation that the manager was not present seemed inappropriate to us. However, we did notice that the issue was resolved the following day, and we thank you for that. At the spa, on the first evening around 6:30 p.m., the water in the jacuzzis was very cold. Two days later, it was still not sufficiently heated, despite being told it was at 37°C. Only a day later did the temperature become acceptable, but at that point the steam room was turned off and the jacuzzi buttons were not functioning. Overall, the spa facilities never fully operated properly during our stay. We also noticed a leak behind the toilet in our bathroom, as well as the very poor condition of the spa showers, apparently due to construction defects. Another point surprised me: one morning around 11:30 a.m., while I was using the cross trainer, someone was cleaning the interior windows directly in front of me. I fully understand the need for maintenance, but such tasks should preferably be scheduled outside peak hours in order to preserve guests’ comfort and privacy. Finally, on the day of our departure, our luggage was brought up to reception, but one suitcase was missing. After searching for it for a good fifteen minutes, including returning to the room, we were informed that it had mistakenly been placed in another guest’s vehicle. Taken individually, each of these inconveniences might be considered minor. However, their repetition over the course of a short stay is disappointing given the level of service expected in an establishment such as yours. The staff are genuinely kind and do their best to assist, but they seem understaffed and the overall organization could be improved. This is all the more unfortunate as your hotel has many real strengths. My husband, teenage son and myself very much enjoyed our 4 night stay this week at the hotel. Beautiful hotel, picture perfect setting, friendly and professional staff, excellent facilities - golf, spa and gym and our sea view bedrooms were gorgeous. We ate only the breakfasts in the hotel - they were delicious but I would suggest including an "English Breakfast Section" and also advise the staff and managers to make guests aware that they can select food to be made to order as we were not aware of this until we saw other guests doing that. All in all, a wonderful, relaxing stay and we would thoroughly recommend the hotel. Thank you to all the staff who looked after us so well.
