In general, we loved the property. Nice location, great suite design and functionality. For the most part, the staff was super friendly to us and helpful. There are still some challenges with the property being new in terms of smoothness of service, and also some challenges with staff speaking English well (and I don't mean to be a jerk about this because we are American, but the standard for a 5-star hotel in Europe includes fluent English speakers). We did not have hot water one morning, which was quite disappointing, and it took several calls to the front desk and maybe 75-90 minutes for it to be fixed enough that we could shower in our room. We were not impressed with the downstairs restaurant El Faro for dinner, but the breakfast there was very good with great selection. The upstairs restaurant Dalmar was absolutely excellent. The bar setup was strange since there is not an actual bar. That said, we experienced excellent service from Belen at the bar, whose presentation, attitude and engagement with us were superb. The other person I'd like to especially call out at the hotel was John (Ioan), who was very engaging and took time to get to know us, which we enjoyed. He made us feel like valued guests. We would love to return to the Fairmont Hacienda Costa Del Sol as our travel schedule permits.

The location was wonderful and the hotel/resort is beautifully done overall. The suite we stayed in was well furnished with a very comfortable bed and beautiful finishings. The staff were generally very professional, courteous and helpful. There were some issues and inconsistencies over the course of our stay but we were very satisfied overall.

Beautiful hotel but food needs improvements. Half the dinner menu was not available and the meal I got was not good. Breakfast the same, milk with lumpy bits in it and all the food had been sat out without proper cooling

While our visit coincided with an atypical stretch of cool, rainy weather, we enjoyed the warmth of sunny Spanish hospitality at Fairmont La Hacienda. From the moment we arrived at the check-in, to enjoying drinks in the lounge, to meals in the restaurant, and throughout, we were impressed with the uniformly positive and helpful attitude. The hotel is spacious, clean and well maintained. We hope to return again, with better luck on the weather!

Great all round experience. The staff are truly wonderful, always willing to help. The hotel is modern and very well presented with great dining options. The rooms are spacious and all have great views. The spa is top class and reasonably priced.
