From the time we arrived everyone we encountered was helpful and intent on making our stay special. The front desk, concierge and wait staff were all just great. The rooms are large and the property palatial. But what really makes this hotel stand out are the people who work there.

It's a nice place with potential to be great. We were wowed upon arrival with an amazing welcome and we truly appreciated the upgraded room and anniversary decorations and cake that was set up in the room for us. The main problems we had related to the restaurant(s) which were not running as normal due to Ramadan. It would be nice if there was some sort of notice or warning for people coming during this period so we might plan differently based on that. We were looking forward to dining at the restaurant based on the normal menu and while the giant buffet was interesting to see, it was way over the top compared to what we would actually want for dinner. Then the biggest problem was the breakfast, which was supposed to be included in our booking. We were told upon checkin that the restaurant was not running for breakfast due to Ramadan so we would need to order room service for it instead. We would have preferred to go to the restaurant instead of staying in the room but that seemed like it should be fine. Except after we ordered breakfast the first day we got charged for it, so then we went to the front desk to ask if there may have been some confusion around what was meant to be included or if we were supposed to do something different for the free breakfast. We were reassured that we did not do anything wrong and the breakfast charge was removed from our room bill, so then we ordered in the same way again the second morning. But then we got charged for it again and when we went to check out and asked for the charge to be removed again we were told by a different person that actually the restaurant was running for breakfast so we should have gone there and they had already made an exception for us the previous day. The manager /supervisor was then called over and I expected he would deal with it nicely for us but then he also tried to insist that we should have gone to the restaurant. This felt absurd since we were told it was closed for breakfast, so why would we have tried going there anyway? Eventually he backed down and removed the charge, but it left a bad taste regarding the stay overall as we shouldn't have needed to fight for the free breakfast that was already included as part of our booking.

Amazing from check in to check out, both dinner and breakfast buffet were amazing. High quality cocktails - especially the saffron G&T. Rooms are beautiful and staff could not be nicer and more attentive.
