I was there when a wedding party virtually took over the entire hotel, making using the property and its facilities difficult for anyone not part of the multi-day wedding group. For a property of that caliber, the expertise should have been consistent regardless of any group that had event(s) there. That said, Othmane Abdelghani (manager) was excellent at trying to do all he could to make the inconvenience less painful (although there was only so much he could do). He’s a credit to your property — make sure you keep him around.

We had an excellent stay and a wonderful experience at the hotel. Everything was comfortable, clean, and well organized. I would especially like to thank Amal from Housekeeping for her kindness, professionalism, and excellent service. I would also like to sincerely thank the 5th-floor supervisor for her care and attention throughout our stay. A special thank you to the Hotel Manager, Mr. Mourad, for his professionalism, warm hospitality, and dedication to making sure that guests have a pleasant and comfortable experience. We truly appreciated the wonderful service from the entire team and enjoyed our family stay very much. Thank you all, and we look forward to visiting again.

Staff was amazing

It wad a beautiful hotel. The food at the Iranian and Morrocan restaurants were great. Our room was beautiful but it had a musty smell. Our service at Iranian restaurant was amazing and attentive I wish I could say the same for the Moroccan restaurant.

The hotel is gorgeous and all the staff are incredibly helpful and kind. Hazim, i believe one of the hotel managers, gave us a tour of the hotel & showed us to our room. He was very gracious and very knowledgeable about the hotel. We ate at the restaurant and the food was fabulous the breakfast buffet is more than you could ever ask for!

Fantastic short stay……made special by the excellent facilities, superb restaurants & exceptional staff

We stayed for a week in the Junior Suite with Panoramic View (US$580 per night). Although we had problems with the lighting A. the air conditioning, we enjoyed our stay. The suite had been personalized for us A. flowers, fruit, nuts, dates, A. Moroccan sweets had been left for us (A. renewed during our stay). Khaoula from housekeeping was personable, professional, A. extremely helpful setting up the suite, as well as during our stay. We had an entry hall A. enough space for desks for both of us. Honestly, however, the 69m² suite felt cramped. We loved having two toilets A. a large shower (that unfortunately leaked onto the floor outside it). We did not like the freestanding cylindrical washbasins at all. Without a vanity counter, there was not enough space for all of our toiletries—even with the tall table between the two washbasins. A second table was brought for us but we didn't like the arrangement. Daily A. evening housekeeping did a good job. The lighting in the room was not bright enough for us but there were no additional pedestal lamps available so we made do. One huge problem was with the “on/off light switch” for the lighting in the suite. The bedside light switch turned all lights off—including the lights in the toilet rooms. If one person wanted a nap, the lights in the salon would be turned off if the bedside lights were turned off. Awful for us (A. the hotel’s technician told us that was not how it worked). The air conditioning system did not work for us either. We set the temperature to 28° A. the actual temperature was 22°--no matter what. Again, the hotel’s technician told us that was not how the air conditioning system worked. Regardless of what the technician said, the only way we could control the temperature in the suite was to turn off the air conditioning completely. We didn’t appreciate the panoramic view from our suite during September because it was hazy the whole time we were there. Having a balcony was nice but it was often too windy to sit outside. All of the staff at breakfast were incredibly helpful A. friendly. It was a pleasure to go to breakfast. We told the staff that we liked fresh figs A. each day we were brought fresh figs! There was mango on the buffet (which we love) too. The kitchen made us porridge, especially, so we could alternate A. we didn’t have to have eggs every day. D. needed some tailoring services A. Khaoula arranged for the Fairmont tailor to come to our suite. He did a great job on D.’s clothes. We didn’t drive our car in Tangiers; we left it in the hotel’s garage A. we took Ubers. The front drive staff was helpful A., when we returned, always gave us big A. friendly welcomes. The location of the hotel is far from the medina so our taxi rides were long. But the location is very quiet A. peaceful, with its private forest. The fitness/gym for us was okay with the bikes A. treadmills. We like to have strength training machines but the Precor universal was okay. D. A. I looked at the Signature Suite One Bedroom A. decided that for our second stay in November, we wanted to book that suite instead of the junior suite. Othmane, the Front Office Manager, was incredibly helpful A. offered us a price for that suite that we accepted. We think that our November stay will be more comfortable.

Thank to Omar who introduced us to Mr Hatim Mr Never hesitate to dial 9 , and the surprise he always answers and miss Iman as well , we travel a lot but Hatim was special he walked us through the palace like he was living there since 1926 , will never forget his details and the royalty treatment he approached us with fairmont really met the expectations not for luxury but will say Royalty. Well be back again for sure .

Our family recently stayed at this amazing property and had a fantastic time. We were celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary - and WOW did they take notice! Every detail was looked after with the utmost care, the accommodations were second to none. The pool was unreal as well as the surrounding grounds. The kids club kept our boys busy with pottery activities, painting classes, and space just to hang out. What truly set it apart was the staff, Othmane, Salma, Youness, Omar, and Ibtissam are just some of the smiling faces that made us feel at home the entire time. We have stayed at many 5-star resorts, and this one meets or exceeds all expectations. We hope to come back one day soon!

From booking until my Taxi moved to the airport all staff were great starting from Mr Othman great support and really all staff. Also the housekeeping was amazingly helpful and seeking comfort. She even noticed i had some nexk pain and she by herself took initiative and proposed to get me a special pillow which was great. Also breakfast team... also the persian resturant team.... all

I loved the breakfast, one of the best I had in a hotel globally. All items are freshly made and there is a variety of options.

Good hotel. Service was great (esp for Tangier), location was good, rooms were good, but the pool was too small and not clean, full of guests you don't want, too many day guests (it doesn't suit a hotel like this to have day guests), management were very good, needs another pool.

Very beautiful hotel, all the details are amazing. The in-room service is very slow. The room was not clean, especially the bath. The forest was not maintained well. But it has all the potential to be the paradise inside the Tangier. The swimming pool and breakfast was great! The staff at swimming pool was good as well!

I did not sleep for two nights, in two different rooms. My 70-year-old mother, unwell, could neither rest nor access her medicines, which staff left behind during a room change they had committed to twice. I reported the noise at 11 p.m.; no record of the call existed the next morning. I spent both days chasing staff for the basics. Worse than most camping experiences.

This was the last leg of our 2-week holiday in Morocco. We stayed at very good holidays in other cities (e.g. Four Seasons in Rabat), but the Fairmont was by far the most expensive. We therefore had high expectations, which were not met in any way. Some examples: - Staff making personal phone calls rather than assisting guests. - Bed in room 705 had used sheets from previous guests (totally unacceptable). - Lots of long hair on bedroom floor. - Ceiling in toilet of Room 702 leaking water from above. - Staff in restaurant arguing with one another in front of guests. - Staff at breakfast completely clueless about gluten free options (this is dangerous!). - No towels or water in fitness center (were replenished after requesting them), as well as dirty equipment. - General lack of cleanliness and hygiene in all public areas (I have photos if you want them). - Broken lamp on balcony (I have photos too). The overall impression was of a poorly managed and maintained property. If you are going to charge higher prices than similar brands (Four Seasons, St. Regis, Mandarin Oriental) then you need to significantly improve. Otherwise, you need to reduce your rates by at least 50% to reflect the lack of quality. The front desk staff and assistant manager seemed genuinely concerned by our feedback and removed a dinner charge from our invoice, which was appreciated. However, the issue here seems to be poor management, which is reflected in all areas of the hotel.

Beautiful building and room, quiet area. However service fall short of expectations. On arrival day we arrived at 15:15 for checkin and at 16:30 the room was still not ready so we left for town. I asked 4 times (phone, front office and employee in corridor) for a foam pillow but received it 2 days later. Same i called to have room service tray removed but nobody came. Pool is big but as hotel was fool it felt a bit overcrowded. Here again at the pool i found the service unfriendly….
