A week in Almaty

We had booked 2 rooms for 7 nights each. The stay was mostly pleasant. The breakfast is good and on a couple of occasions we even got breakfast packed aince we had an early start to the day. The room is spacious and includes a balcony. The view of the snowcapped mountains was great. Though something about the way the AC works makes the room feel warm and stuffy. On most nights we felt this issue in both rooms. They room would feel cool only by early morning. The housekeeping is a hit or miss. On some days we found the bathroom floor had not been cleaned. Then little things like tea bags and stirrwrs would not be restocked. Even usee coffee mugs were not replaced with fresh ones. To those who wish to visit the city often, please bear in mind that traffic delays in Almaty are common. Though the vehicles are moving in an orderly fashion, it does still take time to commute to and fro between the hotel and the city.

I was given a Swissotel gift voucher for my 60th birthday. Informed the hotel I would be using the voucher in June. Arrived Sept 9th for an overnight stay to find the room not ready and the hotel refusing to accept the voucher that they had known about for 3 months. Spoiled my birthday gift at great expense to me.

Excellent Experience at Swissotel! Our stay at the hotel was wonderful. The view from our room's balcony was stunning, the food was delicious, and the spa facilities were top-notch. What stood out the most was the incredible team. They were professional, friendly, and always willing to assist with any request. A special thanks to Alima from the Quarter restaurant! Her exceptional service made our stay smooth and enjoyable. My family and I arrived for breakfast but struggled to find a table due to our large group. We arrive on 13/08/24 ,,,around ,,05 :30 ,,,,the lady's on the Reception on that time wer very very bad attitude .. even we asked for water,,,, we didn't got ,,,,,,,,,,,but other stuff in the hotel was very good ,,,and other shift on the Reciption ,,was also very good ..............other problem ,,,,,,the AC wasn't cooling ....

We were a family of 6 people and everyone left happy! Great facilities and well educated and kind staff. Shout out to Nazerke (Astau), Malika (pool bar) and Daniel (bellman) you guys are awesome! Just a small detail: We understand that hotel is on the high occupancy, however I would just advise asking if a guest would mind staying in a room for people with disabilities (we didn’t mind it, just would prefer a heads up).
