We stayed at the Mercure for 5 days this trip. We have been here before and keep coming back. The location is right by one of the Metro stations - Station Noord. The staff is very informative, helpful and your requests are handled with care. The room itself is clean, comfortable - a reasonable amount of space, with a fairly large bathroom.

I stayed for 5 nights and the hotel was neat and tidy. The employees were very friendly and always helpful. The only factor that slightly disappointed us was they don’t clean rooms daily and for long stays regular cleaning would make the stay more comfortable.

This is a very convenient place to stay in Amsterdam. Our room was automatically upgraded on our first night. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

I have been staying at the tribe 3 times. This time I wanted to try the Mercure, which it is the same. It is a lovely new hotel with lovely rooms and they share the restaurant. On arrival, around 12pm, the receptionist told me that my room was not available. I happily left my luggage in the storage to come back later. While I was getting ready the luggage for the storage, another couple came and the receptionist gave them a room. I was a bit surprised as he mentioned to me that there were not rooms available 5 mins ago. The following day in the morning , I reported to that same receptionist that the TV in my room was not working and he mentioned that IT personnel will have a look into it. When I arrived into my room that day in the evening I found out the TV was not checked and I went to reception to ask. I told them what happened in the morning and they mentioned that the staff member didn’t mention anything . They were a group of lovely girls that assisted me and offer to help. One of the girls came into the room with me and had a look into the cables, the internet cable was unplugged behind the TV. She plugged in and fixed the problem! Shout out to her! She made my stay way better! On Monday, I arrived to the hotel after sightseeing the city around 4pm, to have a nap. I stepped into my room and was not done at that time. I reported to the receptionist and she kindly request domestic to clean up for me. I went to the bar hotel while I waited for the room to be done ( shoutout to the new member at the bar that was learning and he delivered an amazing customer service to me!) The male receptionist, which I believe it is Spanish I may read his batch Daniel? Not sure about the name. I wouldn’t say he was rude but he was not very pleasant and his customer service could improve. He didn’t even reported to IT about my TV and I had to go second time to ask for help. In general, I wouldn’t say I don’t recommend this hotel, it is lovely and most of the staff they are very nice and this is my favourite when I visit Amsterdam. But this time I left with a bittersweet experience the TV issue and the lateness with the cleaners. Just a bit of feedback that could be helpful for the future! See you soon , Maria
