My son had his marrige on the 12th of June in Amsterdam. The Austrian part of his family stayd at your hotel, because he recommended us.9 guests (G. 5, Pum 3, Kreiner 1 Blach 1), different length of stay, different needs, everything worked well. Maybe you contact him (he did all the reservations) to thank him, maybe an invitation for a drink... I have been working now for more than 40 years in tourism and I think a so called "Thank You" is highly appreciated, up to you, best regards Emilie

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 I recently stayed at Mercure Amsterdam North Station for 3 nights and had an overall pleasant experience. The hotel's biggest advantage is its excellent location right next to North Station, making it extremely convenient to reach Amsterdam Centraal in just a few minutes by metro. The rooms were modern, clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and the overall ambiance of the hotel was quiet and relaxing. The staff were generally friendly and professional, and the breakfast offered a good variety of options. However, I was disappointed with one aspect of my stay. A day before my son's birthday, I informed the reception staff about the occasion. Ms. Polina at the reception kindly told me that the hotel would arrange something special in our room while we were out during the day. Naturally, my family and especially my son were looking forward to it. When we returned to the hotel in the evening, there was no arrangement at all—not even a small gesture such as a birthday card or a flower. My son was quite disappointed. Later, I learned that Ms. Polina was not on duty that day, and it appears that the request was not communicated or followed up by the team. While this did not ruin our stay, it was a missed opportunity to make a child's birthday memorable. I hope the hotel improves its internal communication so that commitments made to guests are properly fulfilled. Despite this, I found the hotel comfortable, well-located, and good value for money. I would still recommend it to travelers visiting Amsterdam and hope to see improvements in guest service consistency in the future.

I thought this hotel was excellent; terrific location steps away from the Noord Station. Large, brightly lit, well constructed rooms, accomodating staff. I really appreciated the early check in and secure luggage storage. If I nitpick, here would be my suggestions for improvement: - I don't like the way they lock the main door so early at night. The neighborhood doesn't feel dangerous; there should be someone seated at the front desk all the time anyway. Maybe locking between Midnight at 7 AM is more appropriate. - I know the Dutch are very tall, but mostly foreigners stay at the hotel and the bathroom mirror was so high I could barely see myself! Why not make it go down lower, but also higher for taller people? - I wish that some more bathroom ammenities were provided, like cotton swabs. I do appreciate the tissues. - The lifts should be programmed to automatically send one lift back to floor 0. Everytime I returned to the hotel late at night, the lifts were parked at floors 4 and 8. This isn't correct, they should be parked at floors 0 and 4 to minimize expected wait time for customers. Don't get me wrong, I had an excellent stay here and would recommend this hotel.
