We stayed at the Aigle Noir for a jeu de paume tournament, and the location is absolutely perfect. The room is comfortable, and the breakfast is wonderful. We will certainly stay again, and happily do so. There are a few minor areas for improvement that I would suggest: (1) Americans like some type of milk or cream for their coffee; (2) the front desk is very friendly, but it would be helpful if their English was a little better (my French from 35 years ago in school is very rusty); (3) the breakfast should have more meat products that do not contain pork for Jewish and Muslim guests; (4) the front desk should have a fuller list for dinner reservations and other food advice; and (5) the bedroom needs more light.

From the minute we arrived at this fabulous hotel, the staff made sure we had everything we needed and were so helpful throughout . The location is right opposite the chateau, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. So many great restaurants on the doorstep and access to transport. Bar staff and reception are a credit to the hotel

I stayed at this hotel for three nights on a business trip. It's historic, very unique, typically French, and located in a beautiful square, with a picturesque wooden carousel and lovely places for aperitifs or meals, just steps from the beautiful castle. The rooms are comfortable; mine had a very large bed and all the comforts. The breakfast is fantastic, catering to all tastes and offering international options. The staff is friendly. The only negative was the smell of sewage coming from the bathroom, but you can close two doors at night to block it out.
