The hotel is ideally located for the Château Fontainebleau. The room was comfortable. The breakfast however was very poor. The coffee was bad. The choice of food was limited and what was available was not great. The crêpes were dry and hard. Would suggest wearing a mouth guard before attempting to eat one. Would strongly suggest not getting breakfast in the hotel. The bathroom smelled. Like there was a sewerage issue.

While the GPS directs us to the hotel, you can't get there with your car. You need to park your car in a public parking garage and carry all your luggage to the hotel where nobody bothers to help.

Very well located - right next to EVERYTHING that a tourist would want. Good buffet breakfast. Clean. The bathroom was a good size but I found the room a little small.

My room was comfortable but I had two issues: plugs were sparse (had to unplug something else), and there were no USB plugs at all. The furniture in my room was very marked up with dings and scratches, etc. Overall the room did not feel ‘elevated’ as the name implies.

Restaurant staff were smile-less, not even offering a bonjour in the mornings! At the check-in, there were no porters to help bring large luggage to our suite. Front desk forgot our booking of car to airport hotel and had to be rebooked.

We enjoyed our stay in l'Aigle Noir. The DeLuxe bedroom was charming, the bed comfortable, the bathroom very pleasant for one person at a time. Location is AMAZING but the parking is public with a convenient almost direct access to the hotel. The concierge was also wonderful and booked for us a Jeu de Paume lesson. What a great experience with Tanguy in this amazing historic place!

We arrived at this excellent hotel and were greeted by the friendly but professional receptionist Matilde who made us feel very welcome and made sure that we had everything we needed .
