Nice staff, but the hotel shows its age : broken liner in the pool, dated interior, greyed wood conference pavilion, this is not up to the standards of a 10 euro pint of beer. Quite good location, but for a small price increase the Mercure down the road seemed a much better choice. Time for a serious refresh of this place.

Comfortable stay, in a hotel with great amenities. However, cleanliness has been an issue on my two previous visits. Once flagged, our rooms were changed promptly, but I have noticed that cleanliness is an issue generally - things are not spotless. Overall, the hotel is great for families and I will continue coming here to break up a long journey. There is a pool, a spa and a pools table my kids enjoy using. If you have an electric car, there are chargers on site and the car park is secure. The staff is friendly and responsive, and the breakfast has a huge selection of sweet and savoury options.

Reception was friendly and nice but I expected more from a Novotel Accor establisment. Its old and screams Fadded glory. The establishment needs a complete renewel if you ask us. Rooms could tydier, breakfast was OK´ish.

The hotel was very poorly maintained and did not meet the standard I expect from a Novotel. In our room, the toilet and carpets were stained, the bedding had an unpleasant smell, and the overall room felt unclean. The common areas were also run down, with chipped paint and a general lack of cleanliness. The swimming pool was particularly disappointing. The pool lining was old and had come away from the wall in one area, exposing what appeared to be black mold. Overall, the hotel felt neglected and in need of significant maintenance. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not choose to stay here again.

To begin with is what can change our family from loyal customers (it was the third time at Ury) to active detractors of this hotel: Lunch in the hotel restaurant was not acceptable. Both dushes were chosen were from “suggestion of the day”, which we assumed to be the freshly made thing. Alas, both the fish, the veal and the steam potatoes were the yesterday food heated again - it was so obviously old food that we did not finish it. Without raising it to the restaurant waiter we left the place but we kept it very emotionally. It was akin to a breach of trust feeling, because in previous visits and at dinners the food was always good. I spoke to my wife and the kids, we really don’t want that experience any more. On the good side, we enjoyed as always the hotel, the common areas, swimming pool and sauna, and your breakfasts. It is difficult to reconcile these two parts, because I wanted to book it again on 9th July for our wedding anniversary….

The hotel was fine - no major issues but a few little things. The main one being no hot water - lukewarm showers at best. I could have complained but I could see the hotel was full of guests, so why would they do? Likely nothing. The room was cold and so we asked for extra duvets - this was accommodated for us. The hotel is very far away from the train station and I was under the false impression that the train station was within walking distance. When I asked the staff how far away it was, they said a 20 min walk - this is incorrect and it is a 20 min drive. The hotel is clan but outdated. There is a huge pothole in the car park that you don’t see in the dark/until too late - I drove into it at 11pm at night and was concerned I’d damaged my car or tyres. Beds were comfortable and bar staff were pleasant and friendly.

Nothing like a hot sauna followed by a swim in the outdoor heated pool surrounded by a forest fit for Kings. The staff in Ury made the stay a complete pleasure.

The hotel could benefit from a thorough refurbishment, especially the rooms. They are dated, run-down, and the mattresses were very uncomfortable.
