We have enjoyed very much our end of the year holidays in this beautiful hotel. Rooms are very comfortable, spacious and newly equipped (the hotel is quite recent). Food options and restaurants were excellent. The water park has an additional appeal when travelling with children. Staff was very kind, but in some cases not very professionally doing their job. Some repairs were needed (leaking toilet, dysfunctional mini-bar fridge, etc.). Despite of us asking for repairs, this has not been done during our 7 nights stay. As we were leaving early in the morning, we have requested at the reception a breakfast package for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) a day before. The breakfast pack and its order has been confirmed by the receptionist and we were reassured that the package with some fruits and pastries will be available as from 5.00 am on the day of the departure. However, when we were checking out, the receptionist just told us that there was no breakfast for us. He kept us waiting for 10 minutes, then another 5 minutes and at the end, we did not receive anything and left for the airport with a delay. This was an extremely disappointing end of our lovely family holidays. Especially children were disappointed and left hungry, while we, the adults left frustrated. I would have not expected this situation to happen at a 5 star resort, part of All Accor. I have asked for a compensation, but no response.

+ clean + nice rooms + very friendly staff + direct access to the water park + serves alcoholic beverages - food is almost every day exact the same - buffet is crowded, not much space

Unfortunately, our stay at Rixos Qetaifan was a disappointment and the only regret of our trip. While individual staff members were kind and well-intentioned, the overall organisation and system of the hotel were very weak. The hotel felt confusing and poorly managed, and obtaining basic information required repeated requests. Apart from the grills, the food quality was quite low for an all-inclusive resort. Compared to other Rixos properties we have stayed at, such as Rixos Sharm El Sheikh or Rixos Antalya, this experience was significantly below expectations. One positive note was Ms Rukiye, who genuinely tried to assist us, but overall this property does not reflect the true Rixos standards.
