This was one of the most disappointing experiences I have had at a five-star hotel. The issues began at check-in, where we had to wait for more than an hour before our room was ready. Considering we were traveling with a child, I was also surprised that there were no in-room amenities or activity kits for children—only a small chocolate welcome gift. Unfortunately, the experience did not improve at breakfast. I waited over 30 minutes for both my coffee and egg order, which made what should have been a relaxing start to the day quite frustrating. Overall, I came expecting to enjoy a comfortable and seamless stay, but the constant delays and lack of attention to detail had the opposite effect. Instead of feeling relaxed, I found myself repeatedly waiting and becoming increasingly frustrated throughout the experience.

Dear Fairmont Doha Hotel Team, I hope you are doing well. I wanted to personally thank you for the excellent hospitality I experienced during my stay. I was so pleased staying three nights at Fairmont, and everything—from the service to the attention to detail—made my visit truly memorable. A special thank you to Adinos, your Reservations Manager, for his help and understanding regarding my concern. Because of his support, he kindly upgraded my room to a 1906 sea view room, which offers both a city view balcony and a sea view. I was genuinely so happy and grateful to have such a perfect room. I also would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Frosyna, the manager at the Fairmont breakfast area. She is truly the kindest person we have met in our whole lives. She ensured we had everything we needed and made us smile from the moment we arrived. Additionally, hats off to Asma Roueg, one of the waiters at the Fairmont breakfast area, and to Sohpia, who was working at Raffles and kindly came to support Fairmont during our time there. For a survey comment, it is usually more effective to be concise, factual, and firm rather than overly emotional. While I appreciate some efforts made during my stay, several serious issues remain unresolved. My son’s AirPods were stolen and, after tracking them ourselves, we located them in accommodation used by a third-party company working with Fairmont. What disappointed me most was that the third-party company’s manager compensated me for the loss, while Fairmont took no responsibility despite the incident involving personnel connected to the hotel. We spent significant time investigating and driving long distances to confirm the location ourselves. The toilet bidet quality was extremely poor throughout our stay. Despite multiple complaints, nothing changed, forcing me to spend 300 QAR to purchase an external bidet. In addition, the coffee machine was either not functioning properly or produced very poor-quality coffee. For a luxury hotel, these basic facility issues were surprising and unacceptable. Overall, I expected much higher standards, accountability, and attention to guest concerns from a property carrying the Fairmont brand.
