What a change.....for the better. We visited this hotel before covid when it was privately owned and it was in dire need of a spruce up......and it certainly got one and it is now a lovely clean well presented hotel. We booked a prestige room and it was lovely, full of little extras such as a coffee machine, robes etc. The breakfast was really good both hot and continental with a excellent selection. Bed really comfortable. The pizza in the restaurant was fresh hot and tasty.

I stayed at the hotel while having surgery in Oxford. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. I felt very safe and comfortable doing my short stay.

Had a great stay, very easy to get the bus into town, easy to park & forget the car, a nice hotel bar, good breakfast, staff very nice. The restaurant for dinner didn’t appeal - same room as breakfast. No sense of atmosphere, style or sophistry. We had booked a table for 6, but cancelled and found a nice place in town. A shame, I hear the food is good, though appears a fairly limited menu.
