A Wonderful 3-Night Stay at Novotel Johor Bahru City Centre (26th – 29th October) I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Novotel Johor Bahru City Centre from the 26th to the 29th of October. The hotel, which opened in December 2025, is still fresh and modern . Check-in was seamless, and the staff were polite and welcoming, which set a positive tone for the entire stay . Room & Comfort The room was a highlight – beautifully designed with a warm, modern interior, comfortable bedding, and thoughtful touches like warm lighting that created a relaxing ambiance . I particularly appreciated the filtered water tap in the room, which is a great sustainable initiative that eliminates single-use plastic bottles . The floor-to-ceiling windows also offered great views of the city . Location & Convenience The location is excellent, right in the heart of Johor Bahru. It is just a short walk to KSL City Mall, surrounded by countless restaurants and massage centers, making it incredibly convenient for exploring and dining . Breakfast The selection could be expanded, as the menu is almost the same for those three days. Minor Areas for Improvement While the stay was wonderful, there were a couple of minor hiccups. The air conditioning was a bit noisy, and the shower drainage was quite slow, causing the bathroom floor to get wet . The lift buttons were also dimly lit, making them hard to read . However, these did not significantly detract from the overall positive experience. Verdict Despite a few small teething issues, this is a comfortable, stylish, and conveniently located new hotel. I would happily stay here again on my next trip to JB.

Strategic location opposite KSL and nearby local eateries. New and clean hotel. Hotel staffs need some motivation and training. Accor members were not being acknowledge and feel welcome. Only greeted by one guy from concierge and rest of the staffs just simply ignore or avoid any interaction.

Had a really nice stay here! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience felt comfortable and easy. The staff were helpful whenever I needed anything, which made the stay even better. Definitely had a good time and would be happy to stay here again. The only setback is that the sliding door had slip off, informed the hotel twice and it was not rectified.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and was happy with the room and the service provided by most of the staff. However, I was very disappointed with the check-in experience. The check-in staff were not welcoming and the service felt unfriendly and unhelpful. As the first impression of the hotel, I expected a much warmer and more professional approach. Unfortunately, the check-in experience did not meet my expectations. I reach there early at 12pm to register and check in my luggage and I came back at 3.05 to collect my 2 room keys by right my keys should be prepared. I approached the front desk, is room ready? She asked me to join the queue and I felt this is not the way. So the concierge overheard my conversation he approached me and help me to get my room keys. I would like to highlight that the other service staff were helpful, attentive, and friendly throughout my stay, which I truly appreciated. I hope the hotel management will take this feedback seriously and improve the check-in service, as a welcoming first impression makes a big difference to guests.

This was our first stay at Novotel JB and it was a great decision. Front desk was helpful and our check in and departure were smooth and quick. Really enjoyed our stay here. All the service staff were warm, friendly, attentive and genuinely hospitable, which made the experience especially pleasant. The room was clean and spacious, and the location was very convenient. The breakfast spread was decent, although there was room for a little more variety. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

When asked for late checkout at 2pm, it is granted but was not told that need to reprogram the key card. Enter lift but card not working. Luckily, someone going up to same floor. However, key cannot open the door. Room was not made up even though the sign was lit up. Asked for one more key card but not available for both suite and standard room.

I was there to celebrate my bestie bday. I requested for early check in, a slice of cake and upgrade.. was granted a slice of cake which was served late not upon arrival. I was then bf only for 1 pax when i cleaely indicate 2 pax. No service recovery no apology just granted me bf for 2 pax. I wish their service is much better than this.
