High charges for parking £12 a day is ridiculous especially as it's not in the centre. Were charged £6 a day as had booked through hotel & it was made to seem as though we should be grateful!! The carpet along to our room hadn't been hoovered, our room had hairpins on the floor so probably not hoovered either. The room was very dark and with all the lights on I still couldn't do my hair & makeup. One brighter lampstand by dressing table would help. We couldn't get the TV to work so went to reception. Someone came to the room & eventually got it to work. When we went out we couldn't turn it off so had to leave it on. After speaking to reception again they eventually got someone to sort it. Breakfast was a disaster. The uncut bread was stale & the croissants were so hard they snapped ! I think they were from the day before and had been put in the oven again Breakfast the following day was worse. The stale bread was even more stale & I had to ask a waitress for some fresh bread! The coffee machine only produced luke warm latte even after they changed the filter etc. Gave up after the 3rd attempt. The towels weren't replaced after the first day or the room cleaned. There was a piece of paper that said they would clean the room every other day for stays of more than two days. As we were only staying for 2 days we expected it to be done. I think someone has written this out wrongly. Went to reception & they said the towels would be with us in about 10 minutes - an hour later we went to reception and had to ask again. The only good thing was the very warm pool and jacuzzi. We have stayed here a couple of times before it was taken over and never had these problems. The hotel and staff really need to get their act together
