I truly wanted this stay to be perfect — and in many ways, it was. The property is beautiful, the service warm, and overall my experience was A1. I genuinely appreciated that. But I must also share something that left me feeling a bit unseen. I am currently struggling with a very painful back and leg, and the long walk to my room was extremely difficult for me. I mentioned this at check-in, hoping for a little understanding or support, but I was told that the room I booked was only available on the far side of the property. At that moment, I felt a bit helpless — as though my pain wasn’t fully understood. It’s not that the staff were unkind; they were doing their job. But sometimes, when you are hurting, even a small gesture of accommodation can mean the world. Will I stay again? Yes, because the place has its charm. But will I go out of my way to stay here again? Honestly, probably not — unless I know I can be placed in a room that’s easier for me to access. I share this with sincerity, not anger. I hope it helps the team understand how meaningful empathy can be to guests who are struggling physically.

I stayed for 8 nights. Room was excellent and customer service particularly at breakfast was really good. Location is an hours walk or 15minute taxi from central Nairobi and the hotel feels very enclosed so does not give you a feeling that you are in Nairobi or even Kenya. The repetitive lunch and evening buffets encourage residents to go out and find something g different. Overall a good stay.
