Experience at the Spa was excellent, room was also good however to get a booking was such a hustle.

The reception/front desk was not so good in responding. I had to use all social media avenues since you never returned my calls when I called. Finally a lady called Purity responded with very exorbitant rates, I enquired it was for 2 days only for my pre-birthday plus possibility of making photos and she gave me a rate, which differed (she gave $250pp) from what I enquired via Instagram (they gave $180). Nevertheless, I checked-in and later queried why there's a huge communication gap in the costs? To-date no feedback nor communication to rectify anomaly, was given. I walked away very disappointed! I felt conned!

Arrival & check in was smooth. Asked to discuss my meals with the chef - he called an hour later. My dinner was delivered early as asked & it was good. The rest of the party kept getting orders mixed up, late or no shows. And yet the place was not busy. Requested an iron & pair of scissors, only the iron came over 30mins later, making me late for my event on the premises. The bathroom I found too small, no place to put your items. Worse the shower didn’t get hot HOT!! Called for help with the shower, it never came and no explanation. Breakfast experience was horrible - having given instructions about my dietary needs I felt like I’m bothering the wait staff & chef. The soy milk was bitter, the story - it’s unsweetened. Having been lactose intolerant for so many years there’s no milk I haven’t tried and it’s not possible to have bitter milk. On asking for gluten free options other than cake for the English breakfast - I was told to take spinach & mushroom yet I wanted a starch… Guys, potatoes are in plenty in Kenya. All kinds of potatoes & tubers ideal for breakfast, why not add them to the menu? In the end I got baby potatoes no mushroom or anything else on the menu other than the 2 eggs, 2 measly pieces of bacon & 1 sausage. Suffice to say I left hungry. As guests of Pinky Ghelani we were informed we could have a late check out of 4pm. By 1pm our doors had clocked us out. Now I don’t get how you know you have a bunch of influencers coming and you don’t put your best foot forward. Not impressed at all!!!
