The person at reception told me they would send my invoice by email. I never received it. On my last day, I asked for someone to help me bring my suitcases down but no one came.

My stay at the Mercure Hotel in Nairobi was overall very pleasant, primarily due to its excellent location. The hotel is conveniently situated in the same building as my office—on the 3rd floor, while my office is on the 13th floor—making it extremely easy to move between the two. The room was of a decent size, well-maintained, and the bed was comfortable, which contributed to a relaxing stay. The breakfast experience was also very good, with a satisfying variety and quality. However, there were a few concerns regarding communication and clarity of information. I had booked a package that included bed, breakfast, and dinner. While breakfast met expectations, dinner was served à la carte rather than as a buffet, which I had anticipated. More importantly, I was not informed in advance about the spending limit for dinner. Only after finishing my meal was I told that the allowance was capped at KES 2,764, which came as an unexpected inconvenience. Additionally, there seemed to be a lack of coordination among the staff. During checkout, I had confirmed a late checkout time of 1:15 PM with the receptionist. Despite this, I received multiple calls asking about my checkout time, and another staff member even inquired whether I was extending my stay. This inconsistency reflected a gap in internal communication, which affected my overall experience. That said, aside from these issues, the stay was comfortable and enjoyable. With improved communication and better coordination among staff, the experience could be truly excellent.
