My Experience was bad at the last day. I arrived on 22nd November, paid my booking for 3 days. I attended the EAC Permanent Secretaries and Ministers’ meetings, the meeting that was taken place in the same premises. On 25th, there was a Guest (We used her as the Consultant, a Kenyan) arrived in the Hotel at 08a.m and as I was going to the meeting room, I left her in my room. From 11a.m the Hotel was calling the phone in my room repeatedly and She picked and told them that am in the meeting. Then a Lady (who introduced herself as Manager) went to that room with a Security Guard, they took her Passport and shortly brought an invoice with her name while the room was mine. They left the room, but shortly they start to call again and asking “what time she will leave?”, and also the room was already sold. It’s when the Lady passed that message to me. After hearing that, I went back to the reception at around 2.30p.m (so I left the meeting), when I asked if they called me, they agreed and told me the same story. I asked them, why they sold my room while am still in and when I arrived at the first Day I told the Receptionist that I will stay until we finish the meetings? And I even asked him “what will happen if I don’t checkout timely? And he replied that “you would charge me the full day price.” So it means staying in the room could attract to further payments, then why they kept selling it while am in. Then they called that Lady Manager, when She came she spoke to me in that manner of authority even not realising She is talking to the Leader. She wanted to shift me at Mercury Hotel, I refused. After long arguments She left me in the same room but charged 50$ for that Guest, and insisted that the Security Guard called George told her that. I denied and even allowed her to check the CCTV Camera but She didn’t do that, and insisted that even if She is doing our work in the PC in my room, I have to pay. I agreed as She said that was a Hotel Policy, and that 50$ was in the name of the Guest, so I told them to put in my name because it’s my room still. And then She insisted the Receptionist to provide me with the new outstanding balance with charges for the extra night 135$, charge for the Guest 50$, Meals 3700Ksh., and 19$ for the Guest Lunch. I notified it and said NO PROBLEM! Then, I went to the room so I can see if the Consultant has completed her work to leave but I found the team had sent her some issues to finalize. And I left and go back to the meeting. And I told her if she is done even if am not around, she can leave my key at the reception. Then, we concluded the meeting around 6 and directly went to my room. As I entered then she left. After some minutes I was taking shower and heard the phone ringing, I picked then the Lady Manager asked me if the Girl was left, I was so upset, trying to think why again concerning while it’s 6 and I paid their amount? And she even didn’t sleep so they could say the second day is approaching? Then, after some minutes, She called again asking the same question. I was really really so upset about that unprofessionalism. Early in the morning of 26 I checked out, cleared the outstanding balance including the 50$ of the Guest Consultant. But yesterday, the Lady texted me informing that She was called by the Police Station, required to go there, there is a concern that She left the Hotel without paying her outstanding bill of 50$ for entering a room. I wondered what kind of mistreatment and unprofessionalism is this? So your service from the day I arrived was super excellent until that last day turned to strongly unsatisfactory cause of one mishandled incident. Please work on that so that it cannot be repeated to other Guests. I normally come to Nairobi 6-8 times yearly but I won’t dare again to sleep in your hotel. But I took time to write to you for love especially to Owner(s) who invested their money, and to your many hardworking and dedicated Staffs who serve their customers accordingly. Your improvement and progress is their life, I treasure it mostly as a Leader. I humbly submit.

I stayed for two nights and the check in was the beginning of a lovely stay for my family the staff were really friendly and very helpful.the rooms were beautiful and we loved the color combinations on the walls. The food was amazing from the set up to the taste and flavors. Really nice 10/10 for the food. Service staff was amazing and really helped with the little ones .
