The foyer area was full of delivery trolleys when I arrived (admitted it was late). The room was clean and tidy but felt a little dated and uninviting for guests arrival, as the Air-conditioning was not turned on when I arrived and the room air was stale. The location is ok Overall it was an average room, with a comfortable bed.

All was ok other than the car parking experience. When seeking to check in we were not advised exactly how that worked. We had to park outside in a driveway, unload our bags, first check in, then my wife stayed with the bags while I drove the car downstairs. Then while parking found that there is access to the reception via a lift but had been told we had to check in first and leave our bags in the lobby. Seemed all very clunky. The on desk employee was also quite short with us if we should have known the process Other than that all was fine without anything standing out

It was a very good stay at the Mercure. The location was with good access to offices and amenities all within walking distance. The breakfast was very appetising and delectable. My special thanks to James Carr who helped me with my booking last time and also with the car parking on this occasion.
