Great place to stay just a short walk from the main strip

This is a great resort to stay at on the Gold Coast. Located just a ten to fifteen minute walk from the main shopping area of Cavill Rd, this hotel provides a great experience. Several pools, a hot tub, sauna, waterslides, a gym, and more give it great amenities for guests to take advantage of. The walk from the main shopping area is excellent so you are removed from the loud noise of Surfer's but yet can reach there very easily via foot or the tram. Room needed a bit of upgrading, but otherwise was great. Staff were friendly for the most part and helpful. Would stay again!

We have stayed here a couple times now, always a fantastic experience! Amazing front desk staff, always there to help, and housekeeping do an amazing job, the rooms are immaculate! Whenever we come to stay on the Gold Coast, it will always be at Mantra Sun City!

Dirty Room, not as advertised.

The room I was allocated was old and grubby. There were big stain on the carpets, and dirty marks all over the walls. There was a hole in one wall near the base board and the bathroom door had significant water damage. The furniture was old and scratched. There were areas of the room and balcony that looked like they had never been cleaned. The website shows a freshly painted modern room and when I went to reception they said all rooms are individually owned so are all different. They offered for me to change rooms on the second night of my stay, as nothing was immediately available, but couldn’t tell me if the room would be better. They also offered an upgrade at a cost to me of $320. There was no actual compensation offered. I would be wary of booking this property if all rooms are individually owned and there doesn’t seem to be any quality control on how the rooms are maintained. I travel frequently for work and I won’t stay here again.

As mentioned you can always find a spot in the Sun at Sun City Resort in Surfers Paradise …. Such a great spot to spend a little time, even for us “Big Kids” Tranquil surroundings, Great Staff, and the Tram is right on your doorstep. (Again great for us “Big Kids” to get around) Cleanliness is always key to any successful Resort….Hats off to the cleaning crew!!!!
