The hotel is looking very tired and in need of refurbishment. There were limited provisions in my apartment - only two pillows, no cushions, no minibar and the hotel restaurant is only open for breakfast. The coffee machine included in the breakfast is unsatisfactory, I had to pay an additional cost to get a decent coffee made in the lobby. The price of breakfast $35 or $28 if pre-booked the night before is exorbitant for what is on offer.

This was our second stay at your hotel- we loved it first time and were just as happy this time. My husband and I appreciated the room upgrade, full bottle of wine for welcome drink and lovely touch of delicious brownies on arrival. Your staff were always so helpful and we really appreciated the allowance of a late check out on Sunday. Can not fault anything. Room was clean, well appointed and peaceful. Thank you.

The staff were friendly. The location is convenient. There is a restaurant at the back of the hotel that served great tacos. The pool was the biggest disappointment. Its in an odd location, not heated and clearly not maintained to the standard of other Mantra facilities.

Room was not made up to what I would expect.made bed looked like someone had slept in it, bathroom floor dirty. Took out coffee sachet and the container was filthy. Also no water to drink in room and for travellers a restaurant at night is important to me.

The location is great, rooms are spacious, area is relatively quiet yet close to many cafes, restaurants & Canberra centre. My only complaint is that windows were old, thin glass, very dirty & covered in spider webs.

Good location, room and facilities. The only improvement suggestion is the pool. It was located behind several doors and corridors, which made is quite secluded. The pool itself was in a darkened area inside a room, broken tiles and not at all appealing.

The Mantra is a functional hotel nothing fancy but still has everything you need. All appliances worked as did the air-conditioning. The bed was comfortable. We had some fun and games with the TV as we are not pay TV subscribers - eventually we found free to air channels. Parking is an extra but worked well. The hotel is close to the action in Braddon - so a short walk for coffee and a great choice of cafes and pubs. We had a dog friendly apartment on level 1. It was dark, as it was south facing and the building next door's height blocked more light, so the lights needed to be on most of the daytime. Even though the room was by the driveway were heard no traffic. But we did hear noise - at 3-4pm every day (we were there 3 days) furniture was moved in the room above - not sure what happened but it did occur every day! And we were next to the Gym/Pool entrance and the door slammed shut every time someone used it - we were thankful not too many people exercised during our stay. I'd stay again if I had the dog but if I was just with my partner probably not.
