The room was clean and comfy, everything was on spot. Stayed for 2 nights, went out very early morning the first day came back and I got new fresh towels in my room. 10/10 ! Loved it.

The staff are so helpful, the rooms were comfortable and very clean and the breakfast/bar area and food was exceptional. We used this hotel as a base for a visit to Cardiff. I don't think we would ever stay in Cardiff hotels again after finding this gem in Newport!

I was disappointed with this hotel, especially as we had booked it based on good reviews that we had seen. Firstly, the TV in our room didn't work, which was a major thing as we wanted to watch England v Norway in the World Cup that evening. We were swiftly moved to another room, which was huge, with two bedrooms and two TVs (which worked!). All seemed great! However, the cleanliness of the room was quite shocking. On the bedside table were someone's dried up contact lenses that they had obviously removed before they'd gone to sleep! Yuk. There were two wooden stirrers for the tea/coffee which had been previously used and placed back! You could see they'd been used because of the tea stains on them! I'm amazed the cleaners hadn't spotted this. TBH, the contact lenses and the used stirrers left me feeling a bit nauseous .... if those things had been missed during the cleaning process, what else had? Had the bed sheets even been changed ... makes you wonder.
