We've stayed in lots of nice Ibis Budget hotels. This isn't one of them. All.accor should drop this one like a hot potato. Sloppy and uncaring reception, we were given a room that hadn't even been made up. The alternative offered was terrible - grubby little table, grubby bathroom fittings. The room felt like a back-packers hostel. Go somewhere else if you can. Two stars only because the bed was nicely made up at

Good location and convenient for the motorway. The hotel is in a good neighbourhood with plenty of green space nearby. Staff very pleasant to deal with.

We picked this as a stopover on the way south. Our room was as expected, but the window latch was broken in our other room the radiator was hanging off. It was around 36 degrees outside so inside the hotel, rooms and reception were unbearable so in the evening as it cooled we decided to sit outside taking some chairs and two tables as there was a breeze, reception had closed and as far as we were aware no one else was on site or if they were they were not visible as staff. After a few hours some chap with a skull face mask wearing white came outside demanding the furniture be brought back inside immediately and insisted on watching us from that point on. Not happy with that then made an issue that we hadn’t asked anyone to borrow the items, we explained that there was no one to ask but continued then stood and watched us until we decided to leave the foyer for bed. I wouldn’t mine we were two families with young children who wanted some fresh air and to cool down, we could have been given 15/30 minutes to come inside and everything would have been back where it had been taken from. Good spot. Shames about the grumpy night porter.
