I had to make changes to my booking and the hotel eventually managed this well. Despite there being no restaurant on Sunday we were able to have a light supper which was very welcome.

The receptionist was rather curt, arguing that our 20:05 arrival was after the 20:00 cutoff for the apertivo even though your website states it is available until 20:30. It was just a few pieces of ham/cheese, yet the receptionist was adamant it would not be available. She was also dismissive regarding parking. Not the best attitude for a first impression. The Le Club staff, bartender, wait staff, chef, could not have been nicer. Very accommodating and helpful both nights, including with the apertivo which ended up being no problem whatsoever. The bathroom design is just odd-it makes the bathroom smaller than it should be and bedroom smaller than it could be. Difficult to change I understand but truly bizarre.

We were very disappointed with this so called 4 star hotel. Very offhand gentleman at check in. No information offered on hotel facilities. No. Restaurant open. No bathrobes. No slippers. A room more like an Ibis hotel, but claims to be 4 star with 4 star prices. Avoid this hotel if you can. Mercure should be ashamed of this hotel.

Dear Mr. M., We are very sorry that your experience did not live up to your expectations. What you describe does not reflect our usual professionalism. In fact, the restaurant is closed every Sunday as mentioned on the website, it is an evening when we welcome too few people to open the restaurant. As far as the room is concerned, only the deluxe or junior suite rooms are equipped with bathrobes and slippers for ecological reasons.
