it was my last night in Netherland after a week travelling at countryside. Purposely select this hotel due to proximity to Amsterdam central (few trains stop away). On top of that, hotel was nicely decorated with an excellent bathroom.

It was a very good experience. I will prefer more option to chose in the minimarket, including some medicine in case you are sick.

Hotel is closed to metro station so go to city center is very easy.

I have visited my son who studiest at University of Amsterdam! To his college at Holendrecht Mercure Amsterdam City was the nearest hotel so I have choosen it for my 4 nights stay! The hotel bring the usual Mercure quality and niveau so I was satisfied with my choice! Some small remarks though: the TV set was on a wall paralel with my bed so i could not enjoy watching TV from bed! Bigger problem there was no BBC among the available channels! The room was spacious, the breakfast above average, staff are helpful! So I have a pleasant stay! Thank you all!

As a diamond member I have stayed at many of the mecure properties and this one was dissapointing. Normally I would get an upgraded room but this wasnt the case. The rooms were ok. I struggled to get the heating to work after three attempts and the air con servicing staff said they have fixed it, which means sleeping in the cold. Each time I called reception to ask for something they told me to come to reception to collect it. The breakfast was average, big queues and both times I had to wait to get a table. There was no food available after 9pm and I was told to use Uber to get food, as my flight was late arriving. I had to stay here as it was close to my office but think I will be looking for other properties to stay at next time around.
