Customer service for Novotel has declined; it used to be very good, but have seen it declining the last few months. People at front desk are not as patient and polite, this is very surprising given that it had dropped quite substantially from last year - 2023.

I arrived on Fri evening and the parking lots were full. There were not much help from the security either on where else we could park. In addition I had 5 luggages with me. No concierge approach me to help as I waited for my friend to find a parking lot. Stood outside the lobby for close to 15 mins and had to drag all the bag in to check in ourselves. Did not had the opportunity to use the pool the following day as well. The pool was closed for event. I certainly had higher expectations for the hotel brand coming from Singapore. It was not a great experience.

Room was fine, food delicious and staff courteous and professional. I utilized car service through Novotel. I was not happy with how I was quoted a price and then later the price continually went up. Didn’t feel like Novotel had the customers (me) best interest as a priority. It felt like this was viewed as an opportunity to gouge me and my company. That said I will no longer trust Novotel for extra business services after this experience. I found similar service for quite a bit less. My overall stay at the hotel was very good - only the car service that I feel the hotel gouged my company with. I expect Novotel to protect a customer not take advantage of a customer, as this is my feeling on this trip.
