I would like to share my disappointment regarding my arrival experience . Although I had informed the hotel in advance that I expected to arrive around 12:00 PM, I actually arrived at approximately 2:50 PM. As the standard check-in time for regular guests is 2:00 PM, I reasonably expected that my room would already be ready by then. However, upon arrival, I was informed that I would need to wait approximately 25 minutes and was invited to wait in the lounge. After around 30 minutes had passed (approximately 3:23 PM), I approached the lounge staff again to ask for an update. I was told they would check for me, but unfortunately, no one returned with any follow-up information. In the end, I only received my room at 3:46 PM, which was 54 minutes after check-in and more than double the original waiting time advised. What made the experience more disappointing was that the allocated room was facing the construction area. Additionally, the welcome amenities were not prepared in the room. To make matters worse, I called to complain about these issues on the day of check-in. The staff took my contact number and promised that someone would call me back, but no one ever followed up the issue. I expected a much higher standard of service and communication. I hope management will take this feedback seriously and improve their guest experience.

I enjoyed my stay at Grand Mercure during my trip. The room and overall experience were comfortable and pleasant. The main downside for me was the location. Getting around wasn't very convenient, as it requires quite a long walk to reach the MRT/BTS stations. There also aren't many dining options in the immediate area, which made meals a bit limited.
