Overall, I was pleased with my stay. Staff were polite, attentive and professional. Modern hotel. Spacious bedroom with massive TV. Breakfast had everything I needed. The tomatoes were particularly tasty. Would stay again. One area I would improve would be the cleanliness of the dining area. There were food crumbs on the seats. This needs to be addressed for it to be a 10.

First time here, a rather soul less part of Cambridge when arriving in the dark and this building didn't add to that thought. Check in with a person on a pedestal in the middle of the void of a reception area was odd and the modern thing of using a card to get the lift starting caught me out. All good with the room, this being the positive part of the stay. With it only being one night and being alone I chose to eat in rather than find something in the dark nearby. Again a rather soul less experience at the restaurant, with it all being very open plan. Helpful staff, but struggled to add the meal to the room bill. At checkout I was presented with two evening meal bills! Fortunately I had a receipt from the restaurant to get this sorted. Not enough to put me off using this hotel again, especially as it is well located for the station into the centre of town, but not a good start.

modern pet friendly hotel

Our previous experience at this hotel a month ago was excellent. However, on this occasion the app booking for the hotel did not go through and was cancelled a few days later. I did not get any notification which is an issue with ALL. We turned up Friday night with dog in tow after a 4 hour drive to find that we had no room! Fortunately the manager found us a room for two nights. However we paid an additional £75 for a flexible booking as she could not give us the pre paid rate. She did include breakfast to compensate. The first night was uncomfortable and hot as the A/C wasn’t working and we had no sleep till the hotels fire alarm went off at 3 AM. The staff in the restaurant both at breakfast and dinner are excellent though Another gripe is the bathroom door that acts as a one way mirror that allows for no privacy if the room is dark and the bathroom light on I would think twice before staying as the booking process is unreliable through the ALL app rather than the hotel although we found the staff great. However they are dog friendly and that is a plus for us
