+ The location is excellent, in the heart of Buenos Aires, just a few meters from the Obelisco and next to Florida pedestrian street. + The breakfast was very good and varied. + The room, although very tiny, was spotlessly clean. - We were charged more than expected. Booking’s confirmation had the hotel price in US dollars but we were well aware we would pay in argentinian pesos (ARS) “according to the exchange rate in effect on the day of payment” as specified on the site, a standard practice justified by the country’s unstable economical situation. We have stayed at many hotels in Argentina and all of them converted dollars to ARS with the Official US Dollar Rate (“dólar oficial”). This was not the case at Ibis Styles, where we learnt on arrival that we would pay at a “Dollar hotel rate, established every day by the hotel”, higher than the official rate. This information was not specified anywhere; if this is the hotel’s policy, we should have been notified by them when we made the reservation. This was surprising and disappointing, particularly coming from Accor hotels, which we considered until now a serious international hotel company.

I had a very pleasant stay. The room service was great, and the hotel breakfast was also very good. The only point of improvement, in my view, would be the hotel elevator. I found it very small, and it used to take a while, delaying me a few minutes waiting for it. There was also no minibar in the room, making storing basic items like water a bit difficult.

There was a concrete wall oposite the room window , a air conditioner tube close to the room's windows, which makes the room window unusable because of the noise. The room was clean and th breakfast good.
