Very bad stay, worst loyalty program . I talked with them many times to confirm my loyalty program rights, I booked 18 nights , they just credited 3 nights. The reception team confirmed for me many times that all 18 nights will be credited to my account but they credited only 3

Our teams have helped you and your colleagues on several occasions to manage personal problems such as lost luggage at the airport, request for a quote on the price of a taxi ride, train ticket reservation etc Our teams have confirmed that you have registered your loyalty card on all the bookings you have made, and this is indeed the case. We do not set the general conditions of use of the loyalty programme. When you subscribe to a loyalty programme, the conditions are announced to you and you are bound by them. The shower situation was really a disaster. A floor squeegee was in the bathroom to manage the water but the entire bathroom was flooding when I was showering and on occation went under the door and soaking the carpet in the room. I had to squeegee while showering to avoid additional flooding.

The staff were all helpful and polite. The room was OK, but very hot, and the air conditioning seemed to make no difference to the temperature!

Nice place and location, shame about the beds

This hotel is nice and friendly if not a bit quirky however the beds are a disaster, possibly some of the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on due to the plastic sheet placed under the main bed sheet to protect the bed. It doesn’t breathe and is really uncomfortable all for the sake of saving a little money, a real shame for what could be a great place to stay.

Brand new but not Novotel standing

The Novotel St Etienne is brand new but does not match the standing expected from the Novotel brand. The check in area is awkward with just a small table and a laptop. It is also located on the first floor instead of being at the ground floor. The rooms don't provide complimentary bottled water, slippers or body lotion. Our Accor Gold tier membership was not acknowledged upon arrival and we had to ask for the welcome drink voucher. The hotel's branding should have been Ibis Styles.
