For me this was a great mix of hostel-like prices and shared bathrooms yet clean private rooms. Best of all I thought the staff were very helpful with directions and other requests. Great location for St.Etienne FC and, once you get out of traffic, some great hilly road cycling above town with fun descents.

Very basic as shown in the price. Being able to use a micro wave to do my own meals was great. Downside not a single towel provided, and to many disturbances inside the hotel at night. A big argument on the Saturday night in particular, could hear a man kept counting to three, will raised voice, following by loud banging.

- Major renovation work was being done in the passage outside the room as well as most of the rooms in the premises. - Rooms smelled strongly of solvent and construction work related noise begun early morning. - Passages leading to the bathroom and toilets were temporary and often led to dirt coming back into the room. -Toilets were mostly soiled due to construction waste water disposal and were out of tissue paper mostly. - Room door was being worked upon, which meant I was unable to access my room at times.

As an Accor member, I booked this hotel which was conveniently located. When I arrived around 11pm, it was near freezing temperature and the room window was opened... The following day, when I came back around 10pm, my access code was not working. The agent on the interphone had the attitude of a security guard rather than a patient service-oriented attitude trying to empathise with a client stuck outside in freezing temperature. According to him, it was my fault since I left in the morning without confirming that I would stay for the whole two days I had reserved and pre-paid... It was non-sense, particularly when it considered that my belongings stayed in my room.

The room was very noisy and there was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke.

The room smelled of smoke (signed posted everywhere to be No Smoking). The bathrooms were filthy and unusable. The showers were filthy and unusable. The walls were thin, we were woken up repeatedly by neighbors. There was nothing nearby BUT the stadium.
