Absolutely fantastic stay in the Gloucester Road Ibis Style hotel. The room was calm despite the avenue. the room was clean and acceptable for our journey as we were outside in the major time. The services were at a perfect level (drinks and food / luggage locker…) Special thanks to Elena, Esmeret and Agba for their warm welcoming and their kindness during the breakfast time.

THE GOOD - Good location in the Kensington area, around the corner from Gloucester Road tube station. Great access to tube and shops, a few pubs and a good variety of restaurants. Also only an easy 10-15 minute walk to Natural History Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum - both world-class museums. And 10 minutes to Hyde Park. Rooms are well refurbished and tastefully done for a 3-star hotel. Reception staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was nice in an underground area. Very small, but we managed to always get a table. Elena at breakfast was wonderful, thank you! NOT SO GOOD - The rooms were just too small for my liking. Not much room to put your luggage on the floor, especially if you have large baggage. And the shower water in the bathroom did not drain properly. So you’re constantly showering in foot-deep water. Something that needs fixing.

The room was charming and was available at the time of our arrival in early afternoon, a real bonus. Even though the room was not very spacious, it provided us with enough space to rest and enjoy some quiet time. If the weather had been warmer, we could have sat on the little balcony and enjoy the view of the gardens at the back of the hotel. Our only regret was that our stay was too short. We would definitely choose Ibis again because of the location and amenities.
