when you take a shower, the room flooded and I had to call front desk, the solution was hand me a squeegee and a rug to clean my room

The hotel failed its legal duty to care for our car in its parking lot and additionally there are witnesses that 3 fire extinctors of the hotel were used to try to put out the fire, but only the last extinctor worked. Had 1 of the Ibis Styles´ extinctors worked properly, my car would have been saved. But because none of them were effective, the fire grew out of control and demanded the fire department actions. The hotel´s duty was to have called my apartment immediately to move my car, as another Guest was able to do to save his. His car was saved but not mine. We will have to take legal action because the hotel refuses to offer us the videos of the recepcionist area where this could be seen and evaluated . Even after we signed a legal document agreeing to general image protection data terms, Ibis Styles´ refuses to give us the video of the reception area. This makes us wonder about their responsibility for what happened and what they are trying to hide. Why else would the hotel refuse to give us this video if they were really not liable ? The only video offered to us is of the burning car. It seems to be the objective of the hotel to pin the whole responsability on the owner of the burning car and evade its share of the responsibility. This is disappointing. We have held amicable conversations with both Ibis and Accor´s staff but it seems they prefer to litigate. Our car was a total loss with many valuables inside and installed in the veihcule. They even offered to credit back my expenses to my credit card, which was kind, but this does not meet our expectation that Ibis Styles must acknowledge its portion of responsibility for the damages we incurred.

Prezada Hellen. Lamentamos que sua experiência em nosso hotel tenha sido prejudicada pelo triste episódio do incêndio iniciado em outro veículo e que acabou por atingir também o seu carro. As imagens de nossas câmeras de segurança demonstram que o incêndio que se iniciou no interior de outro veículo somente foi notado pelo proprietário daquele veículo – que se encontrava do lado de fora do veículo – cerca de 2,5 minutos depois da chama inicial, quando o fogo já demonstrava grande poder destrutivo. Do momento em que foi notado até a propagação para o seu veículo transcorreram apenas mais 2,5 minutos. Portanto, em menos de 5 minutos, o fogo atingiu grandes proporções, limitando as ações que nossa equipe poderiam tomar. Nesse mesmo ínterim entre a descoberta do incêndio pelo proprietário daquele veículo e a propagação do fogo para outros veículos nossa equipe atuou prontamente, ativando o alarme de incêndio para alertar todos os hóspedes para que deixassem seus quartos e os direcionando ao ponto de encontro seguro (área da piscina), conforme previsto no Manual Alert da Rede Accor, bem como acionando o corpo de bombeiros para o combate às chamas. Nossa atuação permitiu que outros hóspedes que possuíam veículos ao lado dos três veículos atingidos pelo incêndio pudessem retirar seus veículos do local, mas, infelizmente, o seu veículo e outro que se encontravam ao lado do veículo onde o incêndio se iniciou não puderam ser salvos a tempo. Novamente, lamentamos pelo ocorrido, mas entendemos que o hotel não possui qualquer participação ou responsabilidade na causa do evento, tendo atuado em conformidade com todos os protocolos de segurança e garantindo assistência imediata aos hóspedes, dentro daquilo que a situação e a velocidade de propagação do fogo nos permitiu.
