Some of the best and friendliest staff I’ve encountered at a hotel. But the bed linens, towels, and some furniture need to be replaced. Superior rooms are noticeably better than the standard rooms. The old gym has been renovated recently, which is a big improvement. Most of the non-front-facing staff do not speak any English; I wish housekeeping and restaurant staff received basic English communication training. Ordering room service can be a struggle when specific staff are not on call.

Always a pleasure to stay at the Novotel in SJC. Rooms are good, food is good, staff is great. The only disappointment is the gym, which could use an update with more weight-lifting equipment.

Hotel is conveniently located, but rooms are falling apart, in desperate need of major overhaul. The date of my stay they had to close the hot water mains due to a pipe leakage. That is a clear sign of poor maintenande and perfectly illustrates infracture is dated. The highlight is the staff, super friendly.

The comfort was average. I have been a Novotel Sao Jose dos Campos customer since 2013, but hadn't had the opportunity to visit for a few years. I found that at every activity (bar or restaurant) -although I registered my CC at the reception- people were trying to make me pay on the spot and I had to negotiate to use the CC. Another big surprise: when a colleague kindly offered me a lift to the hotel, I offered him a drink... and he had to pay for the parking spot! I am not sure that I -or my colleagues- will continue to give our preference to Novotel.

The usb port on one side of the bed was damage; the shower head was leaking and the Tv had lines on all the channels. I ask for a Technician and he never came.

Most staff are friendly; the problem is with the rooms. Everything is getting old and stopping working. Room keys have to be reprogrammed all the time, gym is old and outdated, parking is bothersome and bureaucratic, room is too small, towels are extremely old and dried out, bed lining is old, water leaks, water temp is hard to adjust, etc.

While the staff was friendly, the room itself is quite dated and in need of renovation. I forgot to take pictures but restroom ventilation was not good, lavatory furniture like mirror corroded, dry hair too weak. Also the toilet paper was too bad and cheap type one. Water bottle was offered only once, one bottle for two people, and we stay for 4 days. Comparing to the price we pa, we hope more quality. Despite the room service desk was very good and sauna was good.

I very much like the fact that there is no longer a latex under-sheet on the matrass, just double cotton sheet.

Crew is very friendly and helpful, breakfast is excellent, has it all, even fresh omlette. The rooms are rather old, there is some mold in the bathroom and near the windows. Sound isolation is terrible, you can hear the traffic and the nearby rooms noises. I would say the hotel is due for a renovation. Best feature is the pool, where you can hang out.
