This was probably our 3rd time at the Fairmont Makati. Despite the usual exceptional service, the facilities may need to be updated. We found 2 cockroaches in the hallway during our stay, and, like last year, I saw mold around the bathroom niche. Besides those, everything else was fine. The buffet at the Spectrum was the best part.

I spent 7 nights at the Fairmont Makati and left the hotel property as a satisfied guest. The hotel, despite showing its age and requiring some facelifts here and there, more than compensated for what it lacked in certain ways by its elevated guest services and highly attentive employees. I stayed at the Gold Club floor and had access to the lounge as well which with its serene atmosphere was a great feature for guests staying at the Club levels to have quick breakfasts and early evening snacks. Unlike many other Fairmonts --say, the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston or the Fairmont in San Francisco,--the property appeared to have been built 15-20 years ago and is not a historical property so it doesn't have the grandeur you might expect from a Farimont in that context. But it is super clean, efficient for business stays and located in a great district dotted with high end shopping malls and restaurants. I would recommend this location for business and/or pleasure without any hesitation.

They don't replace the used glasses and tissue is very less. no soundproof as I can hear the noise from outside and other rooms. There was a shutdown when the rain came and even it was fixed but it took more than 30 mins before the maintenance came. No complimentary breakfast even it's a company booking which other hotels do.

overall satisafactory, though we were informed at checked in that breakfast was until 11am, we were not informed that on weekdays it was only till 1030am, we got down at 1020am and they were already clearing breakfast, luckily we were veg on that dat so ate very litteld, mostly fruits
the other thing that happned to my friend and im sure he has complained is that he asked for a cofee at 11:00 am and was informed no he could not get a coffee because the coffee time and machine was shut, it would have been easy to ge a cofee if necessary from the other delishop next door, but he was refused, only when he created a ruckus and was asked for a suprevisori dit heuspervisor finally agree to give him coffee
