In general, all is good. The rooms are spacious and the rates are competitive considering what is offered. The decor is getting a bit outdated, like your grandpa and grandmas place from the 80'ies, but everything was clean and all items worked. One point of improvement is the FnB service in the lounge on the 7th floor. Three times I ordered coffee (all on separate occasions), two times the wrong order came (and that was AFTER I enquired where my order was, as it had been 20 minutes since ordering). Also the lead time between ordereing and receiving food/drinks is ridiculous. It takes the staff sometimes 20 minutes to bring simple dishes, even when it's not busy. So that can definitely be improved.

Check-in process with the very maganda, Ann was next level! She went above & beyond, comping us a drink in the lobby lounge for a minor 5-minute delay. Turn down service each day & a little selection of canapés/fresh fruit/petit fours on the 1st night is a nice touch. For me, Fairmont Makati is ALWAYS an elevated experience, & is the only place I choose to stay in Manila
